simon drank blood from each of the lightwood siblings--except for the one who died, who had coincidentally been presented as something of a mini-mundane!simon. he drank from each shadowhunter member of his found family--except for clary who had always been there and who was coincidentally something of a personification of the mortal cup. he remembered the mortal instruments after his dead life had been resurrected. he drank blood from the mortal cup and found all of himself again--but in doing so, he had to let go of the potential his short mundane life had once held. he drank the blood of the angel, which had been keeping him alive from the start of his mundane death.

Does this need a chapter two?? 👀 Opinions

robert lightwood's character is so crazy like in tmi he's just alec's homophobic dad and then all of sudden your reading his internal monologues about how he doesn't like women and feels like he's performing in nearly every aspect of his life and how weirdly close him and his bestie (who's in love with him) are. like huh.

does it drive any of you insane for their individual narrative magnus and alec value secrecy above all. alec closing himself and his future off, magnus distracting people with bolder bigger larger than life persona. their number one goal their motto their motion through life. then they crash into each other and the wall got obliterated. like wow they know each other better than anyone now

Valentine named his son Jonathan after Jonathan Shadowhunter because he saw him as the first in a new line of Shadowhunters, but then when he was concerned that the demon blood had a little too much influence on the boy and decided to try and make an angel baby instead, he named that kid Jonathan too. They were interchangeable; either one could become the new Jonathan Shadowhunter and either way Valentine's experiment would have succeeded. How fitting that both of them gave up that name as soon as they left their father's control.
