       stopping  at  the  coffee  shop  had  now  become  part  of  roni’s  ROUTINE  ,  without  her daily  dose  of  coffee  she  can’t  even  last  F I V E  minutes  in  class  ,  and  god  forbid  she  ever  dared  to  rest  her  eyes  for  one  second  —  literal  CATASTROPHE  .  the  current  state  she  was  in  was  pretty  evident  when  she  couldn’t  foresee  the  guy  in  the  skateboard  ride  past  her  and  almost  splashing  her  in  water  but  instead  the  water  ended  up  on  the  girl  in front  of  her  who  turned  out  to  be  savannah  ,  instinctively  she  ran  towards  her  .  ❝  IMBÉCIL  !!  .  ❞   she  yelled  at  the  guy  who  was  pretty  FAR  AWAY  and  probably  didn’t  hear  her  insult  but  roni  didn’t  care  ,  immediately  turning  her  attention  on  her  friend  .  after  seeing  the  water  stains  she  rummaged  through  her  large  purse  and  pulled  out  one  of  the  MINI  towels  she  always  keeps  in  her  purse   &  handed  it  to  her  .  ❝  here  ,  it’s  not  much  to  completely  dry  the  stains  but  it  SHOULD  help  with  something  .  ❞

A sigh escaped Savvy’s lips when she saw Veronica in her peripheral view, running her free hand through her hair. “Just my luck,” she chuckled, taking the mini towel and trying to dry her shirt. While she was pissed about her scrubs, she could just throw them in the wash later. “I just got these,” still, she complained, looking at her friend. “Hopefully that’s not foreshadowing for the rest of the semester.”

——  “  HOPEFULLY  KARMA  BITES  him  in  the  ass  and  he  gets  what’s  coming  to  him  .  “  dani  said  ,  watching  as   savannah  attempted  to  clean  up  the  splash  stains  .  “  not  sure  if  this  will  help  you  but  i’ve  got  some  workout  gear  if  you  would  like  to  change  .  “  she  offered  ,  remembering  the  duffel  bag  on  her  shoulder  that  was  currently  housing  her  cheer  practice  outfit  .  

“Yeah, hopefully,” Savannah let out a breath, running her fingers through her hair. This was weird--she knew Daniela, knew her sister, but the two didn’t really know each other. But she seemed nice. “Oh, no, that’s okay,” She waved her off. “I’ll just... go back and change.”

          mateo  raised  his  eyebrows,  taking  a  sip  from  his  coffee  as  his  sister  slid  into  the  seat  across  from  him.   ❛   —  why  haven’t  you  slept  ?   ❜   he  asked,  ignoring  her  question.   ❛   —  we’ve  hardly  even  started  the  school  year,  sav.  NOT  a  good  habit.   ❜

“I was in the darkroom all night,” Savannah explained, shrugging as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. She had a habit of doing that, though needed to not do that when school started. “Can you just tell her to chill? Please?”

——  THE  COFFEE  SHOP  was  a  permanent  stop  to  dani’s  mornings  before  class  .  it  was  the  only  way  she  figured  she’d  make  it  through  the  day  since  it  had  been  quite  some  time  since  she’d  gotten  a  good  night’s  sleep  .  due  to  not  being  all  the  way  awake  ,  she  hadn’t  seen  the  skater  ride  on  by  .  fortunately  ,  a  woman  had  been  in  front  of  her  acting  as  a  human  shield  .  “  wow  ,  thanks  for  that  !  “  she  said  ,  scanning  the  mess  on  the  girl’s  clothes  .  “  you’re  a  real  life  saver  .  here  you  go  .  “  she  said  ,  handing  her  a  napkin  ,  though  she  knew  it  wasn’t  going  to  help  much  .

Savannah was pissed, shaking her head as she looked to the guy that skateboarded off. “Fuck you, asshole!” Savvy shouted at him, turning when she heard a female voice--Daniela. Sighing, she accepted the napkin, though it wasn’t much use. “Thanks,” she sighed, rubbing the side of her head.

Savannah hadn’t slept much the night before, spending a lot of her free time (what she had left of it) in the darkroom developing photos. By the time she left, it was daytime, and she wanted to just get a coffee and go back to her dorm. Seeing her brother in the coffee shop, she went right over to him, sitting down. “Can you tell mom to stop calling me?” she showed him her phone, which had 5 missed calls from their mother. “I haven’t slept and I don’t have the mental capacity to talk to her right now.”
