The boss of the local minimart Kiawe worked at lets him bring back food that's past their sell-by date to feed to the pokemon at the ranch. He's also in charge of changing out the flowers but since they have inorganic preservatives he just throws them away. When Wren finds out he thought it was a shame becuz a lot of the flowers, despite not looking very fresh to sell, haven't wilted that much so he wants to keep them for a bit more.
