It had been rather late and Adrian was sitting on the couch, in a t shirt and a pair of boxer briefs, he was sitting on his laptop going over past events with Heads of State. This could very well be his last major event with the White House, and he wanted to make sure that it was as perfect as possible. Adrian wasn’t expecting anyone that night so when the doorbell rings, he raises his brow a little, he figured it was his sister stopping by for a late night visit. It wouldn’t be the first time she had done something like that, and his street, especially at this time of night was empty, so he didn’t bother changing into anything else when he went to get the door. Opening he was surprised to see Patrick standing on the other side. They had met at a few events, and had gotten close, smiling none the less.Â
“Pat, hey I wasn’t expecting you!” Nodding his head a little. “Yeah, yeah I mean you’re always welcomed over..wine or not!” Guiding the younger in, he shut the door behind him, before throwing his arms around him in a hug. Not even thinking about the fact of what he was wearing in the present moment. Just happy to see the other, and the chance to spend time with him. “It’s so good to see you. I’ve missed you! How have things been?”Â
Patrick hadn’t been planning on intruding, and by the looks of Adrian’s attire, he thought he might have been interrupting something. His fear was soon wiped away, though, as Adrian lead him inside the warmth of the cozy home. His strong arms wrapped around the other male, a smile coming over his features. “Hopefully, it was a good surprise. I just figured since I was here doing some fundraisin’ and meetings, I thought I should drop by,” Patrick explained himself with a chuckle.
The young man was happy to see Adrian; it never failed to put a smile on his face. Part of Patrick wondered what his life was like, being able to be open about himself, about who he was attracted to. There was a small part of him that was even envious of that side of Adrian, but mostly, he was just glad to be in his presence. “I mean, my momma taught me never to show up empty-handed, so y’know, what’s better than alcohol?” Patrick mused, wiggling a brow. “I’ve missed ya too, Lockwood. Feels like it’s been forever, but I guess when everything moves at the speed of light, that’s what happens,” he went on. “Uh, things have been pretty crazy with the campaign at all. Feel like I’ve barely had anytime to myself. This is like the first night in forever I’ve been able to focus on anythin’ other than the race,” Patrick admitted. “But, enough about me. How are you? Hopefully not workin’ too hard.”
