“and have you stopped to think if there would be a better, less risky idea instead?” he’s almost aware that it’s rather ironic of him to say so, as if he hasn’t been one to take risks over questionable ideas. even if he’s one that likes excessive planning. “you want to do it, don’t you? even if i say no.”

“you’re not as bad as everyone says you are.”

somehow, bruce has always liked to think that he is one to offer (many) second chances. he’s known for that too, in fact. but he supposes the chances would only matter so much, if one isn’t willing to accept and appreciate such an opportunity given. like working for stark industries, in this case. “it would be his loss then,” he says finally, humming thoughtfully. “maybe he’d learn a lesson or two after losing a chance to work here.” he waves a hand around vaguely, having heard and seen enough of the many achievements of the man he’s talking to now. “they are never easy to deal with. can’t say i hadn’t been difficult when i was younger too.” a chuckle escapes then. “what about you? an interesting adolescent life?” 

finally tearing his gaze away from the apparently new intern’s retreating back, bruce hums in response as he turns to face the other. “i see. perhaps some continuous proper guidance would finally work. eventually.” never hurts to try, after all. “i can only hope he’s not too hard-headed. youngsters their age have a...tendency to be so, don’t you think?”  

“i’m sure you’re aware that what you just described is a very bad idea.”
