Frank grinned at her. âWell, ya see, there is this awfully boring thing called paperwork. And I was tryinâ not to fall asleep. And then I thought, hey I think my beautiful wife is probably at lunch. And I realized thatâs a win-win for me. I get to see you and I get to eat. Two things that I love.â He told her warmly. He chuckled lightly when she asked if he wanted to share her chips. âIs that even a question?â He teased. He grabbed one and popped it in his mouth. âMmm.â He leaned back lightly. âSweetheart, thank you. I really needed to get out of there.â
âYouâre as bad as me when it comes to paperworkâ Alice teased with a little grin. They really were so alike, and it amused her. It was a good thing they didnât go out on too many missions together. The paperwork would never gt done for them. âI nearly came got you actuallyâŚâ She mused with a little laugh, popping another chip into her mouth. They tended to have lunch together a lot. People often said to her about how she managed to work alongside Frank all day, and then go home with him too. It honestly wasnât a chore nor a problem for Alice though. Frank was her absolute best friend, and she adored spending all day with him. She leant over, pressing a kiss to his cheek. âIâve always got your back Love.â
There was nothing better than spending his days with Alice. Some might wonder how he could manage but for Frank, it was easy. Alice was not just his wife. She was his best friend in the world. It also helped that she happened to love him and so he wasnt as nervous around her as he was most people.
Grinning back at her, Frank nodded. "I know you do."
