𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙁𝙀𝙍𝙊𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙔.

Luca doesn’t attend parties, mostly because he doesn’t drink and almost all house parties revolve around getting super wasted. He has been to one with a friend and that time has traumatised him for good. So here he is now, sitting in the car, staring at a big house as he listens to the bass that’s blasting through the walls of it, cursing under his breath. He’s supposed to pick up his friend around this time, but they aren’t answering his calls. “I’m not going in there.” Luca whispers to himself before a deep sigh leaves his body, though then steps out of his mother’s car as he makes sure to lock the doors afterwards. He can’t just leave his friend here without checking up on them first, so he figures he can just go to the backyard and ask the first person he sees if they have seen his friend. The backyard however is pretty much deserted. “Shit,” he mumbles, exhaling deeply in frustration; he really doesn’t want to go in there. Turning on his heels, that’s when he notices a familiar figure sitting on the porch, looking kind of upset. “Hey, uhm..” He trails off, feeling a bit uncomfortable. “Are, uh.. are you okay?” Luca asks just to be polite, even though it’s not really any of his business.

   slow  down ,  they  said  .  you’ll  get  sick ,  they  said .  funny ,  considering  she’d  felt  fucking  nauseous  the  moment  her  foot  hit  the  door  hours  ago .  didn’t  expect  to  come  out  tonight ;  wasn’t  it  enough  that  she’d  been  practically  kidnapped  by  her  girls  &.  despite  adorning  nothing  but  an  oversized  bmo  sweatshirt  over  comfortable  leggings  ---  the  perfect  combination  for  staying  in  ---  obliging  their  weird  obsession  with  making  her  more  social  ??  apparently  not ;  apparently  the  universe  wouldn’t  be  satisfied  until  she  was  completely  miserable  because  what  else  could  explain  that  shitty  k  drama  scene  of  walking  in  to  find  your  ex  boyfriend  taking  shots  from  some  girl’s  stomach  ??  maybe  she  laughed .  but  it  was  far  from  entertaining  .  tried  dancing  ,  tried  ping  pong  ,  tried  letting  herself  be  carried  away  by  flirtatious  touches  &.  not - so - subtle  kissing .  in  the  end ,  she’s  right  back  where  she  started  &.  where  she  liked  it  ----  alone .

     “  hey  --  ”  damn ,  busted .  inebriated  mind  protesting  sudden  shift  from  sky  gazing  to  now  peering  up  at  him  .  vision  frantically  attempted  to  focus  .  “  are  you  okay  ??  ”  

even with the unusual entwining of their lives, kass was someone minjun had found affection in through time spent together, despite the stark difference in routine. he was accustomed to her pop punk persona by now, often seeing her adorned in all black, so the contrast of the yellow of his own jumper was atypical. he was often presented with the other’s brazen personality, the soft brush of a cheek against his shoulder and hesitance in her voice was complementary to her uncommon appearance. as predicted, whatever he had made had little chance of being turned into an edible pancake. similarly the painter was not in his element, even if he found that he was enjoying it more that expected. the new environment was able to provide him with stimulants that meant he was able to use his creativity for something other than oil paint. feedback was much less negative than expected, a satisfied smile found it’s way onto soft features. ‘ more milk… okay… ’ his voice trails as his focus shifts to obtaining the milk, light brown locks bounce against his forehead as he makes his way to the fridge. pouring the liquid into the bowl and taking the other’s advice to beat the shit out of it, minjun uses the whisk to do just that, the mixture almost transforming in front of his eyes. ‘ this is better isn’t it? ’ he turns to face her to show her the batter. ‘ this totally looks good now. ’

    dully  taking  over  the  whisk ,  poking  at  the  comical  lumps ,  she  soon  found  her  gaze  straying  over  shoulder  ,  watching  bemused  as  he  strolls  across  the  smaller  kitchen  for  milk  ,  noting  that  he  didn’t  have  any  trouble  retrieving  it  from  the  shelf  whereas  her  tiny  ass  would  be  struggling  .  some  people  just  have  all  the  luck  ,  she  muses  &.  it  wasn’t  just  his  height  ,  either  ,  as  he  returns  to  his  station  ,  concentration  evident  by  careful  pouring  &.  giving  her  a  chance  to  casually  trace  his  handsome  features  .  it  didn’t  mean  anything ,  anyone  with  eyes  would  do  the  same .  like  observing  art  or  a  really  funny  cat  video .  you  just  kinda  have  to  acknowledge  it ,  appreciate  it  ,  move  on .  oblivious  fool  is  a  beat  off ,  realizing  too  late  that  she  had  the  requested  whisk  still  in  hand .  “  i  don’t  think  that  foundation  is  really  your  color ,  ”  quickly  teasing  as  she  points  out  the  flour  brushed  across  enviable  cheeks ,  passing  off  the  tool  &.  spinning  away  before  he  could  think  too  much  of  her  diversion  tact .  now  would  be  a  great  time  to  look  for  the  cutting  board ,  hiding  flushed  visuals  behind  a  cabinet  door  as  she  pretended  to  rustle  around .  but  of  course  ,  hopeless  kid  calls  on  her  expertise  again ,  so  she’ll  flash  the  quickest  glance  before  turning  away  once  more  .  “  gold  star ,  my  guy  !!  j - just  remember  to  add  the  other  stuff  before  you  pour  .  vanilla  . . .  cinnamon  . . .  whatever  you  want  .  ”  deciding  it’d  be  suspect  to  search  this  long  for  something  she  was  familiar  with  by  now ,  kass  set  out  the  various  fruit  &.  began  slicing  carefully .

                it’s not that reese can tell that everything he’s said hasn’t landed, but he can definitely tell that not a single word has stuck in this stranger’s brain. which is fine, he supposes, because he has a habit of being vague for the sake of politeness, and he did just disrupt her sleep so rudely. but, like, it’s cool. he’ll just pretend nothing happened or something. easy. “ i— no, i don’t, ” he answers, setting the books in his arms down only to readjust. but now that he’s here, his examines her a little more closely, and kind of regrets waking her up. “ i’m not a student, but i’ve heard he’s long-winded. it might take some time for your friend to get here. but— ” reese gathers his books again, offering a little smile as he nods toward the stairs. “ —as i said, there’s a cafe on the second floor that’s much more comfortable. to— to wait in, of course. ”

a  loud  sigh  left  her  lips  jaein  was  starting  to  feel  really  bored  ,  it  was  her  day  off  and  while  others  may  like  to  stay  at  home  and  rest  she  wanted  to  do  something  fun  with  the  other  .  “  let’s  go  to  a  nice  coffee  shop  or  some  restaurant  ,  i  don’t  know  when  we  can  see  each  other  again  so  i  don’t  want  to  spend  the  whole  time  inside  my  apartment  .  ”
