she was a queen. a leader of the people. a mother with outstretched arms, a guardian. yet, she lacked. lacked a warrior’s know-how, in substitute to a motherly instinct. mechanically feeble with plans tapering, her name was no longer one they prayed in. she was at a loss of title; figuratively.. / now she didn’t believe in a high power, no God could change her attitude on a ‘religion’.. until the day prior. an encounter with an unidentified force, proposed her a resolution. a cloaked figure was enough to trigger an awareness, yet within her, entropy began to fill the void. what possessed her to accept the offer.. not even she could answer that. / the following morning, she bid her husband adieu, a lie webbed around her tongue. ‘a business trip‘.. who knows if she would return from it. here began her voyage.. coordinates to an isolated place. to her surprise, she was unfamiliar with these terrains, but that wouldn’t stop her. UNITY was promised at the end of it.. or not; now only met with disappointment, the corners of her mouth turn. the barrier of ice protected its’ contents. how was she supposed to access it? carefully, ashe rose an arrow from her quiver and began to chip at the ice. little by little; what a tedious task. maybe now was a good time to return home, the sun was descending, and nights in the freljord were forsaken. / with a sigh, in which she claimed defeat, she turned. one step forward, when her heel made contact, the foundation broke. it was a small drop, one she could wobbly land on her feet for. her heart is now drumming. a darkness fell upon her and she’s shakily letting it soak into her skin as she wields up her bow. she wants to yell, but has no voice. she’s AFRAID. / now carefully, she takes half a step forward and triggers a panel, which sets off an arrangement of lights. it illuminates a long corridor, luring her to follow to the end. after it all, it may have been her only way out.
