it was slow at first, just constant side eye glances and at gross gut feeling you get when you have to see someone you hated. then it started to evolve to tiny smiles and comfort until they forgot they were ever ‘fake’. and now all she could see was how perfect he was for her.
the small squeeze and the confirmation he was there with her was that silent affection she needed from him. that feeling that this was real and she was okay and he’d keep her safe. and she trusted him, it was scary because she never found it easy trusting people but he’d earned that.
she rolls her eyes as a whine escapes, “not fucking funny,” she utters hiding her face into the crook of his neck. “it wasn’t funny you’re so mean,” grumbles the blonde, lips softly brushing against his skin.
he wouldn’t ever want to lose her trust. mostly because he knew how hard it was for him to open up. realizing that she’d done the same for him meant a lot. that being said, he was still going to tease her relentlessly. that was just who he was as a person. was he really angel almeida if he wasn’t trying to push someone’s buttons ? it wasn’t his fault that her reactions were so funny.
a smug little grin danced on his features at her grumbling, and it isn’t long until a laugh follows suit, slipping past his lips without a second thought. “you’re right. not funny--- fuckin’ hilarious.” he corrects, “and then you went to my room to pout about it to mia.” he recounts, giving his head a small shake, “adorable, really. you’re a real brat when you don’t get what you want.”
