          “PLEASE tell me you hear the baby screaming.”

“Unfortunately yes. I didn’t know there were so many babies in this building.”

Aline shrugged her shoulders at the question. “I’ve met one, she's not that bad for a mundane. A bit odd." Growing up in Idris meant that she hadn't spent much time at all around mundanes before. It was a bit of a learning curve for the young shadowhunter. "This city in general is strange... Though you're probably much more used to this kind of city after living in Paris huh?" She was completely oblivious to the fact that everything about him was an act, he was just that good.

“—uh, yeah. Simon Lewis,” he responded, head turning to the newcomer. “And who exactly are you??” Simon wasn’t sure to expect from the girl. He didn’t know her, but apparently she had heard all about him. He cringed slightly at the question. “Okay, first off, I’ve never had blood from a mundane. I drink animal blood. I follow the Accords, you know.”

She knew that she was probably being off-putting, but that never stopped her from speaking her mind before. “I’m Aline Penhallow.” she said in reply, shrugging her shoulders. “My family are friends of the Lightwoods. My cousin Sebasian is around here somewhere too.” She didn't mention Helen, just cause she didn't feel like the vampire had to know about her."It would've been funny if I caught you there though." she replied with a grin. "So what does it taste like to you?"

Aline already had her seraph blade unsheathed by the time she heard his question. “Demon.” she simply said before she darted off in the direction the demon went.

“Have you ever seen another warlock covered in glitter?” Magnus asked the Shadowhunter he didn’t know. He knew most of the shadowhunters who lived in the New York institute from Maryse calling him there so much, but he had no idea who this girl was. “Believe it all or I have been more covered in glitter than this, this is my daytime look.”

“Well I’ve only met 2 or 3. But none have been quite as festive as you.” Living in Idris meant that she hadn’t had much experience with Downworlders. Though now she remembered Helen, she wasn’t sure anything anymore. “I see, so the nighttime look is even more extravagant..” she paused a moment. “Aline Penhallow by the way. You were looking at me as if you were trying to figure out if you knew me.”
