It had been an extremely long day.

   But to be completely honest.

 You could say nothing really interesting happened in the daytime, not too much work, just the few casual orders from the customers that would swing by; whether it was for a drink or even just food.

      And not even just adults.

Just the fact that food was offered at this small establishment gave the young minors a good excusable reason to be inside, but they could easily be thrown out if trouble was stirred.

But when night fell over the planet’s surface, that’s when the fun truly began.

        The bright neon lights would then at this time break out in a rapid sensation, the loud and addictive music blaring in the background. You could always see the multiple colors shimmering across the floors, walls, and moving bodies that swayed to the music’s catchy rhythm.

       She stared out at her surroundings quietly, a small wine glass in hand as her body settled comfortably into a small bar stool.

  Why was she still here..?

    Her shift had ended hours ago; there really was no logical reason to still be present in this current location.  What was still keeping her?

            She sighed heavily, her body shifting to face back towards the countertop; she could see the bartender cleaning the empty glasses. Maybe it was time to be heading off…

She was preparing to leave when she then heard your voice, her attention then immediately focusing towards your direction; she was looking directly at you now. Were you speaking to her..?

Oh yes.

  She had remembered you walking into the facility, thus sitting down beside her; but she hadn’t bothered to start up a conversation. She then gave a polite smile, she spoke quietly in reply,

He gave her a small nod as his glass danced in his hands. He sipped the liquid from it before asking for another. He was happy to finally talk to her. She was pretty, and he really had wanted to talk to her. She seemed nice, too. Every time he was in here, she was, and he always saw her as a nice woman… and he liked nice women. So he figured a conversation with her would be cool.

Tonight's turn of events had been quite unexpected.

      Not once had the very idea of starting up a conversation with somebody tonight crossed her mind, it truly was unlike herself to indulge in conversation; only at least when it wasn't necessary.

She usually tended to be on guard around others, always. But at the moment she found herself acting carefree, or at ease as most people would say in certain situations.

    Maybe it was the alcohol... 

       She then placed her small glass down upon the counter, contents still remaining; she wasn't exactly a heavy drinker. Over the small moments of their conversation she had finally come to realize who the unknown man before her was, she didn't exactly know his name, but she did know that he was a regular around this area. She then propped her chin into her hand, leaning into her elbow ever so slightly as she spoke,

"I am quite well.

Always was he hAppy to go to the bar. He enjoyed the alcohol and he enjoyed the time of being there with the others. He never really went with friends, but he enjoyed the atmosphere of those around him. He had to admit - he hoped to at least meet someone. If not someone, then at least a friend.

Leonard sat there quietly, sipping his beer and swallowing. For the past ten minutes he had been debating on wether to speak to the woman beside him or not. He was a little cautious — like the last time he tried swooning a lady, she slapped him. How embarrassing! He was just lonely and had to get back into the dating game.
