In this case you can ask us what a pose is called, or try and describe when searching for it! For a fencing pose (my old sport) like a lunge, you might type “sword fighting moves” or “fencing moves” if you know that specifically. Then you can look for it!

You can always ask on my main @darklingkitten and I’ll be happy to answer.

Wow, that's a rough time you've had! Glad things are starting to look up though��

First off, apologies. Neither you all nor the mods have heard from me since June. My summer job ended up a huge fiasco due to my mistakes, I went through some upheaval in my emotional life, went out of the country for 2 weeks, then got over a thousand dollars worth of my stuff stolen, including my laptop. Oh, and that last bit was the day before I moved in for my first semester of college. It’s been a hectic few months.

I’m not asking for your pity, just your understanding as to why I’ve been gone. I know this is still a fairly new and not-well established blog, so it may not have had as big an impact as it could have, but regardless: I’m sorry.

On the bright side! My summers are now open for internships, the upheaval was something that needed to happen, Switzerland/Austria were beautiful and I’m making plans to move there after college if Trump gets elected. Much of my stolen belongings have been replaced and college has turned out to be exactly what I needed out of life - I’m thriving and happier/less stressed than I’ve been since I was a small child.

I know most of the others mods are quite busy too, so I’m going to knock out as many of the requests in our inbox as I can. A fair amount of them will be deleted since I know they’ve been there since June; to those who sent them in, my apologies. I want to get this blog back up and running quickly. Send them in again if you think they’ve been deleted!

We hope you’ll continue to follow us, even after our departure, and wish you the best of luck with your art.

Sorry we’ve been so inactive recently! All four of us are insanely busy - I’m barely 2 weeks into a six week summer camp I’m staffing, I know the others are busy with commissions and family things, and we just haven’t had much time. We’re working on your asks, though; now that I’m no longer teaching 7 classes a day at camp, I should have a little free time to answer again!

Sorry Anon, we’re a reference blog and we don’t post tutorials on how to draw anything whatsoever! However, you can ask for references about chalk, like children drawing chalklines on the pavement, or a teacher using chalk etc. etc.... just something really oddly specific! I’m sure you can find a plethora of tutorials out there on the internet!
