THE SUN & HER FLOWERS.

“  c’mon  celeste..  i  know  you’ve  got  this.  ”  odette  cheered,  lightly  grabbing  the  others  shoulders.  “  college  literally  sucks,  but  if  i  can  get  this  far.  you  definitely  can.  ”  taking  a  pause,  odette  pulled  celeste  closer,  engulfing  her  in  a  big  hug  before  sending  her  off.  but  not  without  a  last  word.  “  i  believe  in  you  !  ”

this  was  supposed  to  be  a  stress  free  night  but  with  bethani,  who  keeps  trying  to  talk,  when  all  odette  really  wants  to  do  right  now  is  the  opposite,  was  kinda  killing  the  mood.  so  in  a  desperate  attempt  to  distract  the  other  and  to  get  them  to  quiet  down,  odette  reached  up  carressing  her  cheeks.  “  you’re  beautiful,  you  know  that  ?  ”

“  charlie.. i feel so bad about manon. ”  odette  hung  her  head  low, ashamed.  these  days  she  had  been  thinking  too  much  about  the  night  of  the  party,  and  it  was  taking  a  huge  toll  on  her.  there  also  weren’t  many  people  around  that  odette  felt  that  she  could  be  vunerable  with,  but  she  was  at  a  stand  still.  she  had  to  let  it  out.  “  please don’t leave me.  i  can’t  be  alone  right  now.  please.  ”  she  whispered  weakly,  reaching  out  to  grab  his  arm  in  a  desperate  attempt  to  get  him  to  stay.  she  needed  to  know  that  she  wasn’t  alone  in  this.

ODETTE: for a second i thought u were DYING

“  there  may  or  may  not  be  someone  catching  my  eye.  but  i’m  to  stressed  out  to  even  think  about  anything  other  then  school  right  now.  so  you’ll  never  find  out  who  it  is.  ”

“  to  be  fair,  i  don’t  think  i  hate  anyone.  so,  for  me..  it’d  esentially  be  the  same  thing.  basically  i’d  choose  to  be  stuck  in  a  house  alone.  ”

a  soft  giggle  was  let  out  at  justices  confession.  “  listen,  it  takes  a  lot  of  practice  to  not  want  to  cry.  up  until  i  was  like  fifteen  if  someone  even  raised  their  voice  at  me  slightly  i’d  just  burst  into  tears.  ”  at  his  next  words,  it  was  odettes  turn  to  nearly  choke  on  her  coffee.  she  was  definitely  not  expecting  anything  like  that  to  come  from  the  others  mouth.  her  face  began  to  grow  red  and  warm  while  a  large  grin  broke  out  onto  her  lips.  “  i  think  you’ll  get  through  it.  me  ?  i’m  not  so  sure  about.  i  mean,  i’m  ready  to  rip  my  hair  out  already  and  this  can  barely  be  called  stress  considering  what  we’re  going  to  go  through  for..  probably  the  rest  of  our  lives.  why  did  we  have  to  pick  two  of  the  hardest  careers  ?  ”

“  don’t  give  me  that  look  okay..  scrabble  helps  with  brain  development.  maybe  you  should  try  playing  it  sometime.  i  think  you  could  use  it.  ”  she  teases,  pushing  her  lower  lip  out  into  a  faux  pout  before  returning  nikos  grin.  but  as  soon  as  it  comes,  it  goes.  odette  really  appreciated  niko  trying  to  help  her  but  she  just  wasn’t  interested  in  blind  dates.  you   would  think  with  her  being  into  romance  novels,  she’d  love  them.  i  mean,  meeting  your  true  love  on   a  blind  date  ?  how  romantic.  but  odette  would  rather  have  her  meeting  be  organic,  like  fate.  “  i  don’t  know  niko,  i’m  really  busy  and..  ”  she  trailed  off,  trying  to  think  of  a  good  excuse  to  get  out  of  this  situation.

odette  had  been  doing  this  a  lot  lately.  making  asumpations.  because  if  she  would  have  known  that  it  was  zen  approaching  her,  she  wouldn’t  have  been  so,  what  she  considered,  harsh.  “  oh  no  --  don’t  worry  about  coffee.  i  can  live  without  it,  i  think.  ”  she  joked.  her  hands  reached  out  to  gently  take  the  papers  from  his  hands.  “  thank  you.  ”  she  replied  sincerely,  giving  him  a  quick  glance,  and  a  smile  before  she  looked  over  the  papers.  “  you  wouldn’t  distract  me  !  ”  she  responded  quickly.  “  do  you  want  to  sit,  maybe  ?  ”
