❛    aether.    ❜    like  a  mother  about  to  prompt  her  child  into  revealing  a  reason  for  the  upcoming  scolding,     hands  place  on  her  hips,    ignorant  to  their  apparent  height  difference  she  stares  him  down  like  the  younger  twin  he  was.    ❛    i’m  not  calling  dibs,     I’m  just  saying  he’s  my  type.    why  are  you  getting  sheepish?    ❜    no  more  beating  around  the  bush  it  seems.    lumine  has  already  leaned  in  closer  to  study  him.

how his sister could stare him down like this - despite their height difference was beyond him. it’d always been like this hadn’t it ?  lumine had for too much protentional to be the intimidating twin ... and this is why he was the nice one.

“ ah well in that case - maybe i’d be better off there  , enjoy being an only child lumine ... what’s up i’m aether , i’m 19 and i’m about to be the dark prince of the abyss - ”  aether is shut-up by a firm grip this shoulder.  another voice - one that had apparently been there the whole time ... simply vibing , watching the spat between siblings.  when did he even arrive -

“kaeya’s not - “   aether releases a sign of defeat. oh who was he kidding ? himself ? yeah .. probably.  anyone with eye’s in mondstadt knew what his sister was saying was true - but that wasn’t the matter at hand ! 

storm. the weather was dangerous. yes , it was best if they kept away from the trees. if they were to be struck by the lighting , that would be bad. very bad. it was strange ..  he hadn’t smelt a storm brewing when they’d set off on their adventure. it was meant to be sunny - no clouds. good weather for hunting - but now , they were wet. cold.  it was better to wait until the storm was over. 

razor strays from the opening on the cave - concluding it safe to remain , no bad smells ... only rain and dirt.  inside they’d be safe - warm , warm now that bennett had started the fire.  it would be better if they’d managed to hunt meat to cook ... it seemed tonight they’d go hungry.  but hungry , it was better than hurt.  razor settles beside his friend ; barely a hair's breadth between the two.  

oh chongyun , dear sweet chongyun ... he still had so much to learn . so much of the world laid bare before him - a well of knowledge and experience. one that would never dry up ; as long as one had the spirit to endure it. with that xingqiu saw himself , as something of a tutor - set on broadening his friends horizons ... that and when the others pure-yang spirit was overcome ; it always proved to be quite entertaining.
