The fanfiction is @aaronthe8thdemon ‘s, and I’ll be updating each time I finish a big part of it. Go read it!

Oddly specific things prog rock has more than one of:
Lead singers named Anderson
Guitarists named Steve H.
Keyboardists named Rick W.
Covers of songs titled "America"
Covers of songs from "West Side Story" (overlaps with above item)
Album covers with bare butts on them
Album covers with specifically male bare butts on them. What is that about. Not that I mind.
Why does Yes fit into all of these categories. The fuck.
Bands with Bill Bruford as the drumm- dammit, Yes! You again!
Holy shit I think I might have found one that doesn't apply to Yes (I mean it might, but I'd have to look up a crap ton of bios to find out, and who has time for that, lol):
Bands with members who have consecutive birthdays [Genesis - Steve Hackett (Feb 12) & Peter Gabriel (Feb 13); King Crimson - Robert Fripp (May 16) & Bill Bruford (May 17)]
Update: FUCK NEVER MIND

God, and just like the Genesis example, it's the SAME FUCKING YEAR EVEN. WHAT THE FUCK, YES.
So it IS up to Yes to come up with every possible permutation!
OMG, ever since I got into Yes I keep thinking of this clip. I haven't seen this one in years. I think it's a bit of a stretch to call Yes a "techno" band, even in the 1980s, but what are you gonna do, lol.
Another one: Bands with a former (or former-ish?) member who compose a solo work based on some aspect of Henry VIII's life (Anthony Phillips, formerly of Genesis, with "Henry: Portraits from Tudor Times" off of The Geese & the Ghost; and chronic Yes situationship Rick Wakeman with his album The Six Wives of Henry VIII).
Please help me save my cat, Cutpurse:
A few weeks ago, I found out my cat, Cutpurse, has gastrointestinal lymphoma. Not long after, he started on oral chemo medication to combat it.
He’s been lethargic and nauseas now and again, but he’s a a trooper. He still wants cuddles and to just be near me whenever he can.
Thee treatments are expensive, around $300 per pill. He will need to take them consistently every few weeks for at least a few more months, possibly more.
It couldn’t have come at a worse time. I found out the store I’ve worked at for seven years is closing, and I’ll be out of a job soon.
I am begging anyone who can help, if you can spare anything, it would mean the world to me. Cutpurse is my best friend and I can’t imagine a life without him.
Even just a reblog would be amazing.

FARM FRESH FETA
by KYLE
I haven’t done feta on this blog before, for two reasons. First, it’s kind of an aquatic cheese, liking to sit in brine, and second, everyone knows what feta tastes like. I solved the first problem by photographing it in an appropriately humid environment.
As for the second problem, well, this feta’s a bit different. I went to the cheese shop (Harry’s at Haymarket) today, and the cheesemonger sold me on this cheese by saying “I’m not sure why this is even called feta - it tastes so different.” It does still taste like feta to me, still delicious and salty. But other than that it’s pretty different: much softer and smoother. The taste too is milder and creamier. It’s really interesting, and really nice.
I can’t really tell you how to find this. Even the cheesemonger just called it “farm fresh feta”. But what was unique about the cheese was that it was a bit more yellowy than the feta I’m used to, softer, and kept in a block out of brine. So if you spot it, try it out, because it’s a good twist on a classic.
