If you consider yourself apart of the esoteric world, this may come in handy for you. But be careful, spells that influence others carry a large karmic debt, so be ready to shell out a lot of trauma. You don't need to wait for a full moon, and you don't need to sacrifice an animal to make a spell work. Real witches derive their magic from within; they take their will and force it into reality.

Think of it as pouring energy into others. Your glass only contains so much water, when you pour into someone else, you start to lose part of yourself. It is beautiful in a way, that you can give part of your energy to someone else. Be wary, however, because you can easily give up your power just as easily as you cast it.

I used to find myself pouring into others too frequently. Although I love being a supportive and available friend, it has left me somewhat high and dry at times. The favor isn't always returned, just like how a spell can easily backfire. You must focus your energy first into yourself, and then expel it into the world around you. Find what brings you good karma, good feelings, and good balance.

For those of you looking to charm someone, here's my infallible recipe:

5 Large Strawberries

Chocolate (the higher the %, the better)

1 tbsp of honey

1 Mason jar

2 Cups of water

A strip of paper

Place the strawberries, chocolate, and honey into the mason jar.

Write the full name of your desired lover (first, middle, and last) as many times as you can fit onto both sides of the strip of paper. Fill every inch.

Fold the paper in half, then in half again, until it's small enough to fit inside the mason jar without touching the sides.

Pour the 2 cups of water over everything in the jar. Seal it tight.

Place the jar somewhere it will catch the morning light — a windowsill works best.

Leave it there for three days. Do not open it, do not shake it, do not check on it obsessively (I know you will anyway).

On the third day, open the jar and pour the contents out onto the earth. Not down the drain, not in the trash — the earth. Whatever you're releasing needs somewhere real to go.
