I often hear it said that humans only use ten percent of their brain, which is a misconception stemming from neurological research in the late 19th and early 20th century that took hold in popular culture.

It has since been debunked, but it remains the core concept behind many movies, books, and comics in recent history. Some even espouse the misconception as if it were a fact.

That said, the brain remains an organ we do not fully understand, even in the modern era. One has to wonder whether control of a Stand requires the use of different areas of the brain, or if the ability stems purely from the soul, and if it stems from the soul, why a biological change (such as from the arrow) could affect the soul in this way.
