rewatching it today made me realize WHY nikki was telling that story when she was out with bears friends. at first i didn’t understand, but it just clicked for me. hansel is bear in this situation, and gretel is nikki. the whole point being that nikki is telling bear what their relationship is ACTUALLY like. its not the healthy relationship that bear thinks it is. but i had a theory

what if nikki was hansel in this situation, and bear was gretel? in the story it kind of sounds as if gretel is forcing hansel to love her, and i found that interesting because thats practically what bear did to nikki. but whats so cool is that it can go both ways. bear is forcing nikki to love him, but nikki is forcing bear to love her.
