EEEEEEE omg now that the Pizza Time comics are up I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THIS HEHEHEE

Firstly, I just wanna clear up Danny was created by me but Maddy was created by Ann (@obliviondowning). We wrote those strips together.

I made Danny back in November of 2022 with NO INTENTION to include her in official Eddsworld stuff. Her being an American and pizza delivery girl was developed at around that time, too. Her gender was also supposed to remain ambiguous and her face was supposed to remain faceless (a design of her without the helmet does exist but I haven't posted it anywhere.) And as I got to talk more about her to Ann, she ended up making Maddy. And we made the two characters coworkers at a pizza place.

Then, when I pitched the Chapstick comic in December of 2022, I designed an Ellsworld version of Danny (Dan) and drew him in there as an easter egg for myself. Dan was literally just made for that one comic and I had no intention of bringing him back or making him an Eddsworld character lol.

Although I was hesitant to include Danny in anything official, we ended up pitching the Pizza Time comics back in March. The idea was to show a couple of characters being inconvenienced and annoyed by Edd, Tom, and Matt's antics while they're just trying to do their jobs.

AND BEFORE THE COMICS GOT POSTED TO THE WEBSITE, TO MY SURPRISE, SYDNEY ADDED DANNY IN THE BACKGROUNDS OF SURF AND TURF WARS PT 2. I had never told Sydney about her and omg I was so surprised to see her there. I was so freaking happy jfsljdffsjl ;;v;; <3333

Anyways... I honestly don't know if I'll include Danny again in anything official. I love her a bunch but I never did plan to have her be anything more than a fun little oc. But I guess we'll see.
