OBJCTIVE

       it  was  never  to  be  assumed,  at  any  given  moment,  that  someone  was  telling  the  TRUTH.  especially  in  hotch’s  line  of  work,  and  yet  he  gets  the  sense  that  the  woman  before  him  maybe  doing  just  that.  ❝i  was  told  you’d  been  BRIEFED  and  someone  on  site  was  detaining  the  prisoner?❞

        it  was  an  interesting  notion,  to  surround  oneself  with  something  other  than  the  darkness  that  was  secondary  to  working  with  the  BAU.   ❝how  DETAILED  are  the  records  you  keep  of  volunteers?❞

         it  was  an  odd  feeling  after  all  these  years  to  have  such  a  CASUAL  conversation.  as  if  there  weren’t  a  laundry  list  of  questions  he  really  wanted  to  ask.  instead  he  settles  in  to  eat  pie  and  try  for  small-talk,   ❝unfortunately  I  had  to  work,❞  a  bite  is  taken  of  pumpkin  deliciousness  and  aaron  can’t  imagine  what  the  thanksgiving  pies  had  been  like  if  they  were  even  BETTER  than  the  one  in  front  of  him.  ❝ -- this  pie  is  amazing.❞

                  local  nerd  finally  gets  haircut  and  beard  trimmed ! 

      JJ -- aaron  likes  that  nickname,  it  wasn’t  one  you  heard  everyday,  and  carried  with  it  the  instant  flavor  of  MYSTERY.  what  did  it  stand  for,  and  would  he  be  able  to  find  out? or  did  she  have  one  of  those  names  that  she  didn’t  want  to  reveal  to  anyone?  the  grip  of  his  hand  is  withdrawn  slowly  as  his  thoughts  jumble  a  bit  just  looking  at  her.  ❝well,  i’m  just  glad  i  didn’t  spook  you,  or  RUN  OVER  you...❞  weight  is  shifted  and  he  knows  they  should  both  be  keeping  their  heart  rates  up,  not  standing  still,  but  that  was  suddenly  UNIMPORTANT  to  the  young  agent  in  training.           he  was  much  more  interested  in  inquiring  about  her  further,  and  quenching  the  thirst  of  his  blossoming  captivation  and  CURIOSITY.  ❝are  you  part  of  the  class  doing  the  hostage  sim  later  at  hogan’s  alley?❞ it  was  a  way  to  ask  if  she  was  NEW  without  coming  right  out  and  asking  it,  but  he  was  sure  of  one  thing.  if  she  had  been  there  over  the  course  of  the  last  few  weeks  he’d  spent  in  training,  he  WOULD  have  noticed  her. 

           ring  ring  hello ??  this  is  the  fbi  and  you’re  the  one  who  is  under  arrest !  for  being  too  nice  and  sweet  and  just  a  general  GIFT  to  have  on  the  dash.  

           mr.  hotch,  that  was  one  he  hadn’t  heard  before.  a  smile  threatens  to  turn  the  corners  of  aaron’s  mouth  up,  but  he  manages  to  fight  the  inclination.  ❝the  information  that  gets  relayed  to  the  MEDIA --❞  he  can’t  help  it  if  the  word  sounds  like  a  dirty  one  colored  by  his  tone,  he’d  not  had  many  positive  experiences  with  reporters  that  valued  sensationalism  over  public  safety.   ❝is  pertinent  to  help  keep  people  safe.  the  level  of  detail  is  determined  by  professionals.  people  who  know  where  to  draw  the  line  in  order  to  maintain  the  INTEGRITY  of  an  investigation.❞

       so,  first  ty ty !  i’m  always  happy  to  hear  i’m  somehow  doing  this  brilliant  man  justice  with  my  writing  (which  i’m  convinced  is  ya’ll  just  participating  in  some  mass-delusion,  but  w/e).  i’ve  also  remedied  this  pesky  non-mutuals  situation.        with  the  historical  scene  i  would  imagine  it  could  be  very  hard  to  write  outside  of  a given  canon  just  do  to  the  sheer  volume  of  history.  like  if  i  wrote  a  muse  who  was  the  reigning  monarch  of  england  during  the  early  1400s  then  it  would  be  hard  to  mesh  with  other  timelines  (i mean  it  could  be  done),  but  i  can  see  where  people  would  stay  within  the  canon  interactions  of  their  chosen  medium  (tv,  movie,  book,  etc.).  just  for  ease  of  plotting  and  not  like  butterfly  effecting  the  future  or  some  shit.
