I ended up taking a much longer nap than I meant to after work and woke up around 8:30 and was hungry. So I made my way down to a bar in my neighborhood that has a Thai food truck. Picked up my food and enjoyed a can of pineapple suds with it. On the way back, I stopped into a bodega for a little ice cream treat. They have these Japanese fish biscuit shaped ice cream bars that I've loved since I was a kid; I used to eat them all the time growing up in Japan.

I walked in and ended up having a little chat with one of the workers there about how the summer heat is just around the corner and mentally preparing for that. Unfortunately, they were out of my favorite little treat but the owner ended up giving me two other ice cream bars on the house. Despite offering to pay, he insisted they were on him. It was a very unexpected but appreciated gesture. I fist bumped the owner, thanking him, and then headed back to my car.

I've been rediscovering my love for fishing over the past couple of months. I think I'm going to start keeping track of some of my catches on here. We'll see how it goes.
