#panfish

this week was super busy (blame school) and stressful (blame school, and me) but I went fishing again this weekend! Caught the largest fish I have ever caught (I mostly catch panfish like bluegills and pumpkinseeds, whoch I’ve posted before)

We caught 2 decent sized channel catfish! They can get much bigger but they were good sizes for the small pond! The larger one is the one I caught, and my dad caught the smaller one (last image)

I also caught a pumpkinseed-bluegill hybrid! He pricked me real good with his spines. He doesn’t look big in the photo but man, they get huge in that pond! Hard to grab them lol

I’ve been fishing a lot recently. Here are some gigantic panfish from a local pond. Some are bluegills, some pumpkinseeds, some are hybrids of the two! (Fish were released safely and with minimal stress as possible)

we also saw a cool rainbow. Some of these fish were the largest I have ever caught.

caught this week, both garters were likely males. Pumpkinseeds are a type of panfish, like bluegills. Super excited since I haven’t gone fishing in years. Always remember to safely catch and release these animals.
