I like toying with the idea that when solas goes to remove lavellan’s vallaslin that lavellan panics and pulls away from him, causing solas’s magic to mishap and instead burn the markings off instead. lavellan having seen the hesitation in solas’s eyes even before he began the spell, his head flooding with thoughts of his clan and the night he received his vallaslin, homesickness and regret creating a knee jerk reaction. Solas filled with guilt immediately, but also some indignation that lavellan would actually want to keep the markings, takes a departure from the inquisition (much like when he went to mourn his spirit friend) and when he returns things are extremely tense between the two and they avoid each other as much as possible.

my purple diamond, they’re aloof and apathetic, and have sleep related powers. they have their own court too. if I remember correctly I made them a sapphire, an agate, a pearl, and a spinel. I think I’d like to revisit them in the future too
