Because of the way the community garden is set up as a nonprofit, we can't accept money /directly/ towards it, but I am allowed to accept donations and then buy things for it. Because I guess it's supposed to be as difficult as fucking possible.

We are in desperate need right now of actual proper wood mulch to replace the fucking rubber mulch Home Depot foisted on us, which is going to do nothing but cause problems because it's literally just fucking trash that is meant to be in a landfill, it's going to fucking poison the creek when it rains, it's not going to break down for fucking decades, it's literally just trash that's been painted red to make it look nice.

We also need actual potting soil because the city did give us free dirt, but it's filled with literal broken glass, is nothing but sand, has no nutrients, and is way too fucking heavy to use in containers.

Our community garden will be giving free food to everyone in the area, teaching people how to grow their own food, and giving away free seedlings for people to grow at home. Along with food for people, we'll be growing native wildflowers for pollinators, and native milkweed species for monarch butterflies.
