First of all, we could have had some foreshadowing about him from the beginning, instead of randomly telling out of the blue that Aizawa and Mic aren't actually a duo, but are a trio with a 3rd guy that we know nothing about, including how he died. Like we really should have had a real flashback arc between the 3 of them in the main storyline, instead of a tiny one in a spin-off manga that was animated after the anime had already ended.

Also his habit of being incapable of not helping others being so strong to the point where it was still present after he became a Nomu and resulted in him becoming protective of Shigaraki should have been explored way more than it did in canon. I know some fans exaggerated it to the point where they portray Kurogiri being some kind of father figure to Shigaraki, but smh, I honestly wouldn't have minded if the story actually went with that route by showing us more interactions between him and Shigaraki, while putting emphasis on how their bond mirrors Eraserhead's bond with his class (maybe Kurogiri being captured could have been used as the main reason to why Shigaraki went off the rails and becoming easy to be manipulated by AFO's doctor)
