i like Ash Costello and Christina Costanza (sp?) music generally, but its sad that other female rock singers don't get recognized bc their makeup doesn't look "modern" like Kim Kardashian and they don't want to show their tits and ass (not judging them, but i feel like women recieve money for that instead of music and thats pretty messed up)

Yeah if a woman is willing to dress down it definitely helps with her popularity which is a sad fact. Not that there’s anything wrong with the singers who do present themselves like that though. It’s already so hard for women rock singers to get noticed and even harder for the ones that don’t want to dress and present themselves in a way that’s pretty much guaranteed to get them noticed.

tbh tho i don’t mind the ep? like i’m not supremely disappointed or anything bc i don’t have very high expectations for nyd. they’re sort of generic in terms of metal/emo music so it’s not shocking that the ep would be lackluster

yeah while it’s not something I ever plan on really listening to from the little I heard it seems like they haven’t strayed too far from their other stuff

Does anyone else find it weird that ash is trying to push her boyfriends music down everyone’s throats or is just me who does?

I understand that she’s trying to support him and use her voice and name (which is far more popular than his) to promote him but yeah I do think she overdoes it a little sometimes

a little defense for ash though, though like she definitely has been quite problematic and hypocritical lately, is that she knows how to put on a good show whether or not she's singing well, and i've met her four times and every time she's been incredibly sweet, the most recent time being a couple months ago

yeah I do agree with you there there she definitely does put on a good show she’s fun to watch on stage. And I’ve only met her once but it was a very nice interaction and she was totally sweet. I definitely don’t think she’s an overall bad person she just has some parts of her personality that need work

NYD fans are absolutely rabid. I recently got harassed by a few of them simply because I dislike Ash.

yeah every fandom has its bad apples, but I know what you’re talking about with this one I've definitely come across quite a few immature and rude nyd fans

ok so I saw someone's confession about Nikki and it sucks saw someone's confession about Nikki and it sucks because the same thing happened to me... NYD was on Warped, and I'd dragged my friend Kia with me to go see their set. a while after, we were trying to find Kia's brother, who was supposed to be around to give us a lift home, and ran into Nikki and Ash. they were both a bit tired, but Ash at least had the decency to be kind of polite. :/

Oh sorry to hear that I'm glad Ash was at least cordial though
