From a certain perspective. 

      “Don’t be silly, I don’t kill my suitors - they’re just prone to disappearing!” That’s what she was supposed to say, anyway. Anything else and other families of note within the kingdom would get upset. “Not to mention I’m quite sure most of his jewels are fakes. Lab-grown, you know. I bet someone hasn’t even died for each and every one of them!” Miri offered a little giggle, sweet, cute, and perfectly happy in others’ misfortune. Especially in those who even reminded her of suitors.

      “It is more than alright, I can assure you - though I must wonder what other private services you offer for other clients, hm?” A bit of lighthearted teasing to further lighten the mood - after all, what is Miranda, when she’s not being a gremlin? Well, either sad or full of bloodlust, but that’s beside the point.

      Her fins relax down once more, with only a little flutter, and a more comfortable smile. Hands fold in her lap, and she swings her legs a little. Cute.

      “I would not be opposed to browsing - do you happen to have any cutlery? Particularly a murder spoon - I believe Damien has run off with my last one.”

“Of course, of course. The world’s a big place, after all.” That was something she was used to hearing. The same sort of talk that Vera had a knack for. At least when lawyers were present. “I’m sure I could find a buyer for them, anyway. You know most people around here don’t care about how genuine their accessories are.” Her ears perk up. It was obvious to see why Miranda ended up one of the ROs. Her laugh was infectious- and so damn cute it was almost unfair.

“Oh, you know, the usual. Medical discounts for Double-A, a friends and family discount for Ver-bear, and the Squeak Squad gets all of my magical artifacts. Well, they think they do, at least.” She drums her claws against the counter, her eyes drawn to Miranda whether she likes it or not. The power of this fish girl’s cuteness... it was certainly something else.
