Bess sighed in relief when the top two plants were taken off of the pile. She sent another, much brighter smile, nodding at his motion. “Merc-Thank you, mister.” The shorter blond hummed, gratitude lacing her light features. She was the slightest bit of embarrassed from the previous trouble she made for him, the day before. She really felt bad for setting his plant on fire, even if he didn’t seem all too mad about the ruined plant. He had seemed more so angry at her for performing the accidental action of setting his plant on fire with her firecrackers(that Will had left for her to use).

Though, it was then that she had a faint - no, clear - idea what she looked like. Honestly, the only thing she had done was pull her bed head into a headband and threw on a pair of clear socks. Other than that, she still had the grey sweatpants and the white tank top she slept in. Plus, she didn’t have any make up on, so the slight bags under her eyes were there for everyone to see, but it didn’t douse her bright atmosphere. “I’m really sorry for setting your plant on fire, though. I didn’t mean to; I promise. I didn’t mean to make you so mad yesterday.” She thoroughly apologized to the taller male, slowly shuffling inside so the remaining potted plants wouldn’t fall from her arms.

The heir let the door close as he sighed, balance swaying only a fraction as he walked over to the table, setting the plants down. His lack of sleep was finally catching up to him, but he allowed a yawn to slip past his lips as a hand rubbed his face before turning to face the girl.

She really does apologize alot... Was Harry’s initial reaction upon hearing her say sorry once more, crossing his arms over his chest. She looked frazzled; as though she had agonized over this all night before stumbling out of bed and making the trip as soon as she woke up... which she probably did. Harry could only imagine how he looked though-- He hadn’t paused to glance in the mirror; but he was sure he looked rumpled, exhausted in his black v neck and matching black jeans. To be honest, he felt uncomfortable, not looking his best for company, but... it was what it was. He walked over towards her, taking another plant off of her so that she wouldn’t have to struggle, shaking his head.

Bess tried to smile at the man that she had only recently knew of his existence yesterday. She wasn’t very obvious or knowledgeable of the world outside her daily routine. She shook her head, yelping slightly as she tried to move in a better position when the pots shifted in an undesirable position, the smaller woman pouting at her predicament. The blond heaved and groaned under her breath when the pots almost tipped over her, the blond giving an anxious laugh that showed just how challenging it was to keep the things in her arms from tipping from her grasp. “Well…” She cleared her throat, beaming at him from the side of the multiple potted plants in her arms.

She looked down, huffing and pouting with an embarrassed flush on her cheeks. It wasn’t straining her arms, really. The petite woman was stronger than most would give her credit for, but she usually didn’t have to use that strength. Plus, the weight of the items in her arms wasn’t bothering her. It was more so the poor balance she had with the objects. “I felt bad after I set your plant on fire and told you…” She admitted with a nervous twist in her chest and stomach. “So, I got you a lot of these plants at the store because I didn’t know which you would like… So, I got all of them!” The blond added at the end, tilting her head. “Can you um…take the two plants at the top, or help set them on the ground, sir?” She asked with a small quirk of her lips, mentally pleading for him to help.

Harry quirked an eyebrow at the girl struggling with the plants with an bemused expression on his face; immediately deciding that it was much too early to deal with this. It wasn’t like he had a deep connection to the plant that was burned - sure he was pissed, but it more so because of the principle than anything; anyone would be pissed off it someone burned anything of there’s by doing something stupid - but coming here with a collection of plants... It wasn’t like he could just turn her away without looking like an ass.

“Heechul…?”

“I can give you time, if that’s what you need.” Heechul took a step back, giving Harry the space he seemed to need. His heart ached with the need to hold him close, but that need was selfish as was his earlier departure. “I’ll be around for a little while longer. You can call me if you want to talk.”

Harry swallowed slightly, arms crossed over his chest as he kept his eyes on the ground. The urge to simply close the distance between them was almost overwhelming, but Harry had always been good at maintaining control.

Bess chewed on the inside of her cheek, sighing as she pressed her forehead to her steering wheel. Why did this have to happen to her? This wasn’t what she had wanted to spend her paycheck on. Though, it was better than the night lights she probably would have bought with the minimal paycheck. Being the waitress of a small coffee shop wasn’t all too bad, but the pay could have been better for her. “Jesus Christ….” She groaned, closing her eyes with another sigh. The woman pulled the keys from the ignition and leaned back. Good thing this was a rental car, or she wouldn’t have been able to carry all of the bought plants.

She knew she apologized to him yesterday for accidentally setting his plant on fire with her fire sparklers, but he didn’t look too convinced. So, she did the best she could do. Replace it with a jungle, right? The blond shifted all of her weight to one foot, knocking three times sharply as she waited for him to answer the door, her short hair in a headband without being combed, gray sweat pants, and a black tank top with a pair of white socks. She had rushed out of bed that morning and hurried to get the plants, not really doing much to her bed look.

First day off in god knows how long, and of course there would be a knock at his door. Really, why wouldn’t there be; with the way his life had been quickly deteriorating, it only seemed appropriate. Harry grunted as he stood from his couch - he had neglected to sleep that night; which was evident in the way that he swayed slightly before regaining his balance, and the dark bags underneath his eyes - before making his way over towards the door.

“What do you want...?” Rude, but Harry Osborn wasn’t exactly known for his politeness (and why not keep up the image the media made of him? He was too tired to do much else.). Blue eyes peeked through the peep hole, brows furrowing in slight confusion over the mildly familiar face, before it fell onto the group of plants that were - barely - in her arms. “What the--”

“Heechul…?”

“I deserve that.” Heechul sighed as he combed him fingers through his hair, eyes never leaving Harry. “My answer depends on you, actually.”

Harry fell silent for a moment, sighing as he turned away from Heechul; arms over his chest. A part of him was agonizing over the distance he was putting between them with his behavior, but he couldn’t help it.

“... I don’t really know what I want right now.” The heir said honestly, shaking his head as he glanced downwards. “... And I’m not sure what we are anymore either.”

outofcharacter: So I just recently broke 800 followers, which for me is amazing especially because I didn’t think I would stay here this long. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect from coming into a new fandom, but I was very much welcomed here. I’m actually coming up on my 1 year anniversary of this blog & it just blows my mind how many people I’ve met & how much fun I’ve had here. Gwen has helped me through some hard points in life & the people I’ve met along the way are just some of the best people I’ve met through roleplay. This blog actually helped me break through that whole mindset of being scared of others rping the same character as I. It helped me break through that insecurity of wondering if people were going to get bored of me & it’s made rping so much more fun for me. Even though I’ve disappeared a few times, y’all have stayed around & always welcomed me back! So long story short, I love you guys & am so happy I made this blog!
