My mother’s passing was tragic for everyone involved. Even at my young age I understood there was nothing to be done about it.

WIP

They say blood is thicker than water, but it still flows the same. It's worse - when it spills out and stains everything it touches - rotting into the floorboards, contaminating everything in its path. Setting in so deep we'd sunk into the abyss. I could feel it festering in me, a flame that could not be extinguished no matter how hard I tried. It burned my fingertips, my sinews and sinapses. A soul collapsing in on itself as the curse finally broke apart.

It ended like a candle flickering out, burning its last, leaving only curling smoke, darkness and cold in its wake. I could feel ice reaching its frozen fingertips for me, wandering higher, spreading numbness that was promising and threatening alike.

Above all the chaos, above all the bloodshed and the tears, there was a silence that rang through us all. Ringing like the last note on a piano stuck in limbo. Crashing down on us with nowhere to go but onward. Silence can comfort and terrify in equal measure. Become maddening, even. Monsters are real, this much I know.

Of course I'll be uploading some Crimson peak stuff very soon, I will be starting from the first scene all the way up to the end. Just need to figure out the key people and if they will include other blorbos or just redrawings of OG characters. 👀
