Alright, he’s not sure where to start here. The fact that Shikamaru just said CUDDLING out loud, the fact that he didn’t specify if he won or not, or the fact that Temari seemed so g e n t l e in the comfort of their home. One thing at a time.
Taking everything in, Naruto let’s out another short snicker. ‘’Didja at least win? I mean, did you lose or win against...yourself?’’ Even now that’s confusing, saying it out loud like that. There had to be only one option...and did it even count as a loss when he still won anyway...?
Now, onto the Temari thing. To Naruto, she seems like a hard shelled woman. Perfect for Shikamaru - yet sometimes he still couldn’t believe they were m a r r i e d. He had heard once that marriage does change people, but, this seemed a different kind of thing. Maybe sides of people that were only meant for lovers? But if Shika thought it would save him from a little teasing, he was dead wrong.
‘’Cuddling, huh?’’ That thing he had saved for last. Even Naruto doesn’t say that out loud in front of almost anyone ( the stuffed animal from years ago in his room did N O T count ), and to hear Shikamaru say it is...strange, but welcomed, nevertheless. His friend seems...gentler. Even his grin reflects it.
‘’Sounds to me like you’re whipped. Isn’t it better to listen, you might’ve even gotten twice the c u d d l i n g while watching the movie.’’
