Imo, Evan fits this scenario the best because he would 100% be the one to pick up on Regulus' weird behaviour. He keeps going silent in conversation, which in itself isn't unusual but it is when he doesn't have any witty retort to Barty's insults. He's showing up late to nights out, which never happens. He shows up antsy and distracted, his hair messy and his cheeks flushed. He stares at Barty's lips, Evan's arms. Evan understands quicker than anyone else, poor baby Black is horny for the first time and doesn't know what to do with himself.

Evan asks Regulus to hang out at his place, when Regulus gets there, he's 20 minutes late and his voice is raspy. Evan lies, says Barty couldn't make it, that it'll just be the two of them. (and let’s be honest, evan’s into that shit...)

meanwhile, barty wouldn’t allow evan do the same, and even though evan has no desire to do so, he sometimes engages in the occasional one-night stand anyway (basically just to ragebait barty). and then he gets enjoy watching his boyfriend get all jealous and possessive. barty has threatened to kill some of the guys evan’s been hooking up with (maybe he didn’t just stop at a threat). that’s how evan knows he’s barty’s, because barty doesn’t share. (the only time barty accepts it, is when they fuck other people together.)
