The preferred political party of News Corp isn't working out too great, so now News Corp wants Australia to become a dictatorship.  After reading this, at first I thought living in a dictatorship was a great idea.  But then I had a really big bowel movement, and the urge for dictatorship went away.  Now I’m happy with democracy once again.  Sticking with democracy is probably a good idea.

After reading Tom Elliott's opinion piece on the weekend, I woke up this morning really wanting Australia to become a dictatorship.  Living in a dictatorship suddenly seemed like a great idea.  But then I had a big breakfast and now I'm happy with democracy once again.  Sticking with democracy is probably a better option.

It was on...until it wasn't.

Tony Abbott survives to gaffe another day.

And if past performance is any indicator, to repeatedly gaffe over and over again.

Say what you want about Labor, but at least they've worked out how to efficiently depose a sitting Prime Minister.

Unlike those incompetant Liberals...who say they're going to...then don't...

White Night Melbourne 2014

I lost interest in this new modern incarnation of Doctor Who a while back (just didn't care for what Russell T Davies did with it), so can't say I care too much who the next Doctor is.  Just as well, for while Peter Capaldi is awesome, and I'm sure he'll be great as the next Doctor, I don't think I could get past him as Malcolm Tucker.  I'd spend the whole time wondering what the hell Malcolm Tucker is doing in the TARDIS, and what the fuck has he done with The Doctor?!

Hear that??? They have a solar panel!!!  The environment is saved!   This guy obviously hasn't got his bullshitting skills down yet...but his random gibberish skills are top shelf! He makes the Liberal's border protection policy sound like it's been developed by the underpants gnomes...

Random thoughts and observations:

They were loud!

Ozzy's voice was incredible, he's still got it, despite the age and drugs!

Observing Ozzy shuffling around on stage from the nosebleed section, he is at once a comical yet charismatic figure.  He is hunched over and shuffles around like an old man, yet jumps around and displays an energy that belies his age (and lifestyle!). 

It was obvious the crowd loved Ozzy.

And the songs!  All those great classic old Sabbath songs!

There was a bucket of water on stage near the drum riser, which Ozzy would go to throughout the show and splash water on his face, or even dunk his whole head in at times.  When it became half full Ozzy would throw the remaining water over the crowd, then stage hands would bring out another full bucket.  The last time he did this, towards the end of the show, whether intentionally or on purpose I'm not sure, but he completely missed the audience and instead got pretty much all the water on a security person near the stage, who was definitely not impressed!

Hard hitting fill in drummer Tommy Clufetos was really impressive.  And his extended drum solo in the middle of show was off the charts incredible!

Almost didn't go, was enticed at the last minute with cheap tickets in the nosebleed section.  But really glad I did go, it was an incredible show (even from the crap seats!), and it was so great to see that line up with Ozzy out front.
