watched MDE across three days in an effort to unpack unpleasant understandings undiscovered underneath myself in manners not unlike watching videos of people dying as a teenager, which i also did today. it worked

world peace has a few moments that i did sincerely find quite funny and reacted to with laughter, but the package as a whole is ultimately kind of sad. the "jews rock" sketch is a smoking gun for the general purpose of MDE, i think, because writing a sketch designed to make people tug their collars just to cut away and show uninterested and pretty unbothered producers/executives is not exactly edgy or rebellious or funny. if i had written a sketch designed to giggle over the disgruntled reactions (or, any reactions) of others and got basically no reactions whatsoever i would have scrapped it entirely because the premise failed. including it anyway makes it clear you actually do not care whether or not you are "cutting-edge" or "breaking through comedic boundaries" by offending others whose sensibilities are narrow or brittle. including it makes it clear that you are not actually seeking to share real and honest humour that imagined naysayers say "you can't joke about that" over. including it makes it clear that you just want to laugh in joy with your ilk over your shared prejudices. including it makes it clear that you don't actually find it all that funny, you are just relishing in the joy that community brings about. i think i understand why so many less than pleasant people loved this project like religion; i mean, it quite earnestly aims to "educate" its fans by throwing manifestos litanic at them. on some level i wonder if people with this "sense of humour" consisting of merely being offensive and/or extreme take comfort in it as a result of sharing their least "desirable" impulses or intrusive thoughts with others who accept them, thereby signaling some sense of safety knowing even the "worst" of them is not rejected as it normally would be by society as a whole. i can relate to that, as a tranny faggot. i have been a few different tranny faggots that were extreme or/and offensive to the average person's sensibilities. i have known others that took/take it further and/or make it a crux of their personalities, where the subject matter is killing dogs or paraphilias or what have you. yet our ilk and their ilk are typically rather opposed to one another, and yet still there is a venn diagramian overlap of those that are ilk of both, and yet also still simultaneously neither. i don't exactly get the exact comfort in being the exact kind of extreme or offensive to the average person's sensibilities that i was. i think i was doing it because i was sad somewhere deep in me and wanted to combat sadnesses stemmed from old rejections. i felt accepted, though never less sad in that deep place i couldn't find. i think this is why world peace is ultimately kind of sad. extreme peace is a stinky crock of shit, though. i laughed exactly once when chuck prom vomit backflipped his cock into his mouth
