Real love is always chaotic. You lose control; you lose perspective. You lose the ability to protect yourself. The greater the love, the greater the chaos. Itâs a given and thatâs the secret.

Heavy brows draw downward, furrowing together as his eyes narrow coldly at the other in a clear expression of his impatience. Blood is whatâs boiling in his veins currently. He immediately dismisses the thought of giving a polite response.
â TchâI couldnât care less. Iâm not going to help you write a book report     if thatâs what youâre getting at. Finding the deeper meaning behind some     shitty, pretentious poetry isnât really my thing, I hope you know that. â
âSuch a boring response,â they say quickly almost like a reflex, not sure what they were expecting from the neurologist anyway. He was quite intelligent when he came to his talent, a marvelous one at that, but he seems to fall short on anything other than that.
The smile stays upon their lips however, slowly closing the book: softly, slowly since they donât want to risk wrinkling or otherwise ruining the pages. âI thought you would know something about the little phrase. Your mind only runs so far, I guess. How interesting.âÂ

nanami-san;
âMaybe⌠weâre the only ones hereâŚâ    A shadow of dissatisfaction. Unpredictable happenings made her very uneasy. Komaeda was here, which was⌠well, it was something. Chiaki was more comfortable around them than some other people actively playing were. The first impression of absence had led her to believe sheâd slept past breakfast, but⌠instead, it appeared that nobody else was around.    âDo we⌠look for the othersâŚ?âÂ
âSo we are,â they say in a mirrored reaction to her, eyebrows furrowed slightly with their eyes gazing off in thought and wonder. Where could the others be? They lift their hand to give a tap, tap, tap to their chin, gaze shifting to her in a secondâs notice.Â
As she recommends that they should look for the others, theyâre quick to agree: nod of the head, pensive look nearly washed away and replaced with a smile. âThat sounds like a great place to start. Where should we start?â

âNaegi-kun." The way they say his name is filled with acid, envy burning from the pit of the stomach all the way to their throat; it lingers on the tip of their tongue like a bad aftertaste, filling them with a bitter green. It leaves and exudes from them as they exhale, finding that to be a sharp contrast with the smile that hangs upon their pale lips.
âHow are you faring?â The words slip from them like a habit, concerned words masking how much they honestly could care less. Komaeda clenches their right hand and places it on their hip, gloved hand hanging by their side. âWell, I hope?âÂ
â˛á´ľáś á´ľ á´šáľĘ¸áľ
âSorry, we donât serve liars.â The pleasant smile on their face is a heavy-hitted contradiction compared to the cold words they spit out. âCan I get you a cup of nonsense for the road?âÂ

â like HELL i would! tâch â      get your head checked, fuckinâ      idiot. now, if youâll stop being      a dumbass, maybe we can get      somethinâ done. â
âSo I was right in my assuming otherwise. I knew such a thing was near impossible.â They laugh despite the fact that they were just belittling themselves, wearing amusement on their sleeve. âRight, right. Iâm sorry for saying something so outrageous and distracting.â

âI know itâs wrong to assume, but are you trying to seduce me? Surely not, right?â Who would want to seduce trash like them? What a cosmic joke.

âBlood is family. Blood is pain. And blood is death,â they read aloud, fingers fiddling with the corner of the page as their grey eyes lock upon the other. âSounds pretty dark, doesnât it? What do you think it means, Matsuda-kun?â

â TALENT: you either have it or you donât.Â
                          credit  | xÂ
They donât even flinch when the door slides open, assuming itâs just standard procedure of the nurse coming to check on them. What else would it be? Itâs not like they have any friends or any family to come visit them; they have no one to care about them and itâs fine. Absolutely fine.
Komaeda pinches the page as moves to flip it, turning their head to glance over to the door but they pause. Grey eyes widen at the sight of someone familiar yet foreign, like a new stroke of paint against a mundane painting. Was this â a guest? For them?
   Really
   Why? What for?
Should they count themselves lucky for this?
It takes them a bit to gather their composure, lips lifting into a smile as they lift their hand to maneuver him over. âSouda-kun, I didnât expect you to make an appearance! Please, come have a seat.â Itâs so obvious that theyâre giddy by the slight sparkle in their eyes and the minor flush to their sickly cheeks, laughing softly to themselves.Â
âSo, what brings you here? I apologize that you have to see me like this. Iâm sure this isnât ideal for anyone.â
