I actually don't outline, haha. I do however, tend to write scene snippets that stick in my head, even though they're in the future, then go back and link them together after. So my initial writing phase is often a lot of little scenes across the timeline of the story, and then I go back and write chronologically, and then hopefully start the cycle again, with a more concrete idea of where things are going because I've done some work to connect things already. It's definitely easier for me to think up a bunch of scenes earlier when I am in the first rush of writing and have a lot of ideas and the difficult part can be keeping up the fun creativity after the first flush of stuff and in the midst of the more workman like connecting up of those scenes. I'm also just a very slow writer and I think that probably goes back to the not really being an outline person - I'm doing my double checking while writing.

I guess something I do also is, I love to share scenes with friends right after I finish them because that helps with keeping motivation up and I can get thoughts and ask questions about how the scene works with the broader ideas I have for the story or the chapter or about say, characters I now want to introduce. Like when I got started, I had no idea who Rafa Jodar or Martin Landaluce were and now I've gone back and kind do threaded thru some bits and pieces of Carlos's relationship with each of them into the story draft because that really fits the theme of Carlos thinking about his career and legacy as he's preparing to retire.

damn yeah jannik finding out al this time he's been carlos' first is just soooooo delicious 🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬 being his only referenced point but he's be shit to carlos 🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬 carlos shyly admitting he does not know what he actually likes and jannik's never done anything to him apart from roughly fucking him face down or his mouth never even bothering to check if he's finished because touching other guys dick is gayyyy. and he's probably never felt that guilty ever as when he saw carlos tearing up upon telling him he's never been with anyone else, offended that jannik thought he'd been whoring around. and now jannik is sooooo careful, checking everything with carlos, trying to find where he's most sensitive by kissing up his body literally head to toe while our little shylitos is desperately trying to hide behind his hands....
