Hey friends! It is the middle of final grading season for me, so I saw the announcement on the main and in the group discord about the rp closing but I had literally no time to post in discord or anything. But I wanted to say that Iâm probably leaving these blogs as they are, and Iâm happy to rp with anyone who wants to as an indie sort of thing! I love my children and Iâd hate to just put them away for good. So feel free to message me or something if you want to write. If you want to reach me outside of these two blogs, you can find me on my personal tumblr (thelostgirlwrites) or on discord (kaymarie #1129). And of course, you can always message me here!

Truth be told, Adrian didnât know how to differentiate between emergencies and the times he wanted her attention. To him, admitting that he wanted her around for the things that were less than critical was still impossible. While theyâd grown closer over the past few months, he wasnât at a point where he could be_ that _open with her. âFor making you feel like I was putting you to work instead of being your friend.â The words felt like knives as they fell from his lips, stabbing him all the way down. He was hiding his feelings well (masking them as genuine remorse), but inside he felt as if heâd been betrayed. To him, it still felt like heâd burdened her with his friendship.
She thought maybe she should push it a little more but she didnât actually like fighting - with anyone, but especially not with Adrian. And she didnât know how much he really understood her frustrations, just based off the fight itself. Her expression softened into a smile and she stepped a little closer, reaching out to put her hand on his arm lightly. âI forgive you. Thank you. I want to know whatâs going on in your life, but you canât always expect me to drop everything and come running. I know it doesnât seem like it, but I have a life outside you and Rory.â
If she were being honest, the girl did seem rather cute. Oh to hell with it. It wasnât like Tristan had any other plans for the night except to brood and maybe sulk a little. âWhy donât I buy you one and we can talk about your friend, in there? Or better yet, I could get to know you better.â
âOh, thatâs really nice -â Hester cut herself off abruptly, halfway through her initial attempt at begging off because . . . was the other woman flirting with her? That didnât happen much, because Hester was with Rory so much and working, and even when she wasnât working, her other friends just seemed to get any attention. Which was fine; she didnât mind. "I - that would be nice. If youâd like. She seems to be doing okay now anyway.â
Tristan bit her lip to keep form laughing. This girl was absolutely adorable and terribly endearing when she rambled on that Tristan almost wanted to throw up. âWell arenât you a talker,â she said with a chuckle. âNice to meet you, Hester. Why arenât you in there getting yourself a drink or two?â
It wouldnât have been the first time that someone was angry over something Hester didnât mean to do, so she was greatly relieved that it wasnât the case this time. âSorry, I tend to do that if Iâm nervous. Itâs nice to meet you too.â She brushed her hair behind her ear and shook her head lightly. âIâm just here for moral support, so I wasnât planning on getting a drink this time.â
Kronos may have promised to spare Tisiphone and her sisters, but she should have known that heâd find another way to make her miserable. After all, she was probably an ally under probationary measures with her initial reluctance and all. It was nights like these when she longed for the company of her sisters and wondered if sheâll ever find them, in this lifeâif Kronos would let her. She took out a cigarette and stuck it between her teeth as she lit it up and inhaled before blowing out smoke. âTake a picture, sweetheart. Itâll last longer, but I canât say the same thing about your hands,â she said, as she saw someone staring from the corner of her eye.Â
âOh my god, Iâm so sorry! I didnât mean to stare at you.â Hester covered her mouth, trying to cover her embarrassment as easily. âIâm just keeping an eye on my friend - sheâs meeting someone new and she wanted me around for moral support. Iâm really sorry, I swear I wasnât staring. Iâm Hester.â

Adrian knew Hester was still mad at him, and while he didnât think he really owed her an apology (his feelings were the ones that got hurt, after all!) he was tired of not talking to her. There werenât very many people he actually missed when they werenât around, but she was one of them. His heart seemed to seize in his chest whenever they were at odds, and to be quite honest, he was tired of the feeling. âIâm sorry,â he muttered, his eyes fluttering to the ground. @nowhester
Hester was not expecting to see Adrian at all. It had been hard staying away from him but she was determined this time. He had been taking her for granted, and she deserved an apology for that. And he needed to fix it in the future, and learn to differentiate between true emergencies and just times he wanted attention. So as difficult as it was, she folded her arms when she really wanted to hug him. âWhat are you sorry for, Adrian?â Her parents had taught her to offer true apologies, and she expected them in return when someone had wronged her.
âI swear Iâm listening to you, but that woman over there has a condom stuck to her leggings and I donât know if I should let her know or just wait for the inevitable. Sheâs been super harsh to the bar staff so it kind of feels like karma come to play, you know?â
Hesterâs nose wrinkled as she glanced at the woman in question and immediately regretted it. There were some things that she just didnât want to think about, or see. âWell, I donât think anyone would blame you for not getting involved,â she said, and she completely agreed with the statement on karma. That made sense.Â
Hester Williams | 27 | PA // Harmonia, Goddess of Harmony and Concord
One last intro, this time for Hester, the actual sweetest character I write.
Harmonia:Â
The daughter of Ares and Aphrodite, Harmonia was the first child born after her motherâs marriage to Hephaestus. She always felt, very acutely, any disapproval and anger on her or her parents. She wanted everyone to get along as peacefully as possible.
Harmonia adored both her parents, and all of her siblings, and was usually found with her family.Â
Due to her peaceable nature, when she was informed that she would be married to Cadmus, Harmonia did not fight. She didnât know him but it was simpler and better to bow to her fate. And eventually, Harmonia fell in love with her husband.
Their life wasnât that easy though; they were gifted a cursed necklace (or cloak, depending on the myth) that doomed their descendants to hardship. Eventually they were turned into snakes (and possibly taken to the Isles of the Blest - the myths are unclear).
Hester Williams:
Much like Harmonia, Hester has always been a peacemaker. It started when she was younger and she tried to ensure her siblings all got along really well, and she eventually went to college for a degree in counseling.Â
Parental death tw:Â Her family life was really nice; she was adopted by Camilla and Leland Williams, and had a lot of siblings - the biological Williams kids and adopted siblings as well. Leland passed away when Hester was thirteen but her mother has since remarried and the kids all love their new stepmom Nikki.Â
Although she did get her degree in counseling, Hester sort of floated after college - she nannied, worked at a library, did other odd jobs, and just didnât have a clear direction in life. She went to LA on a trip with friends, and while there, met Aurora Minett, which completely changed her life.Â
Hester had always known about her past life, although not the details - she remembered former incarnations, and her former family members, and she knew immediately that Aurora was her mother from another life. So Hester managed to get a position as Roryâs personal assistant, and has been doing that for about a year now.
Hester is simply the sweetest person youâll ever meet. Sheâs friendly with almost everyone and likes to make people happy - so itâs easy for people to walk over her because of that, although sheâs trying to be more assertive.Â
She remembers the past but doesnât bring it up (because of the curse, although she just thinks itâs because people find it weird). If she meets a former family member, she recognizes them immediately and feels drawn to them.

Ares knew how it troubled their daughter to see them argue, but he couldnât help the way he felt. Rage and betrayal brewed inside of him, making his insides a mess of emotion. He looked into his daughterâs face and knew that he wouldnât be able to walk away just yet. âIt doesnât feel like she loves me,â he muttered, casting a pointed glance back at Aphrodite. âYour mother seems to be of the opinion that I should be punished by going to war by with holding her affection from me and dangling the people she does give it to in front of me. Of course, if I do anything similar to what she does, I get told Iâm not worth waiting for.âÂ
This wasnât the first time Harmonia had been pulled into their disputes. Ares gave his daughterâs hands a gentle squeeze before letting them go. He continued to speak as if Aphrodite wasnât right there in the room, though he wasnât really helping the situation. âSheâd rather I just feel unloved and unwanted. Her other lovers are far more important than me, and obviously she doesnât trust me with your siblings.â @auroraminett
His words cut her like a knife, making her blood boil at the same time. âWithholdingâ THATâS what you call last night? We spent all night making love, I told you I loved you how many times, and yet this morning I woke up and you were gone, not to war, but to see some other woman!â She couldnât help the tears that welled up in her eyes, tears of anger and frustration and real, genuine pain.Â
âDonât you put words in my mouth! I donât take lovers to punish you, I take them because Iâm lonely! But I suppose your father would prefer that I just waste away here waiting for him, desperate to feel loved, just to make sure that in the event that he deigns to visit me Iâll be around to suck him off.â She sneered at him. âYou want to talk about feeling unwanted, obviously whatever whore you went to see today is far more important than I am. Letâs see how special she is to you when sheâs so ugly that every mirror she looks into breaks!â Her eyes glowed bright green, and with a snap of her fingers, the curse was set. @nowhester
Maybe she should have kept out of this one. Between her motherâs fury and her fatherâs distress, Harmonia didnât think even she would be able to help them. Particularly as they werenât very willing to stop screaming long enough to listen to her. âFather, donât go. You know how difficult this is for mother and you know that she loves you. No matter how you feel, you know the truth. And you know that she trusts us with you, and she always has. Can you blame her for being upset that you took Pothos to meet one of your other lovers?â Her voice was as soothing as she could make it, and though she didnât reach for his hand again, she did touch his arm lightly. âThink of how you feel, being separated from her, and then think of how she feels, being separated from you and forced into marriage with someone she doesnât love.â
Hoping he wasnât going to leave, Harmonia turned to face her mother, taking a few steps closer to Aphrodite. In any other time, she would have been embarrassed beyond words by the things her mother was saying, but they werenât nearly as important as the pain in Aphroditeâs eyes at the moment. âYou know thatâs not how Father feels. You know why he canât come see you more often, and that he would be here every night if he could.â Her lips pursed together in disapproval at the curse her mother set, but there was little to do about it now and she supposed she should be grateful that it wasnât worse. âInstead of just accusing Father, you need to talk to him and give him a chance to speak as well.â
âYou could leave the boys with me!â he argued, refusing to budge on his point. The way they fought made him feel unwanted, but it was their passion that always kept him there. Maybe the fighting was a good thing, it showed they still cared for one another, that they wanted the other one in their arms. Aphrodite had a point about the mortal dying, but he wasnât going to admit that. He looked up at the ceiling of her grand palace, exasperated. âItâs not like heâs calling her âmommaâ! He doesnât really know who she is, just that sheâs a mortal and she knows me. Heâs too young to understand any of that!âÂ
Fighting about other lovers was bad enough, but Aphroditeâs next words sliced through his heart. Ares felt his face fall, giving way to the hurt there. He took mortal lovers for a reason - they were easy to leave and even easier to do away with. If Aphrodite needed him, or decided once and for all that sheâd have him and him alone, then there was nothing holding him back from being hers again.Â
His jaw twitched at her accusations, as if war was just a pastime he used to avoid her and that she meant nothing more to him than any other fling. Perhaps thatâs what she thought of him now, after all these years. He could feel his heart aching in his chest. âMaybe itâs best if I -â but before he could finish, Harmoniaâs voice seemed to ring into the room. Ares looked toward the door, but couldnât even muster a smile for his lovely daughter. âI was just leaving. It seems your mother doesnât care if Iâm here or not, so Iâll see my way out.â @auroraminettâ
âWhile youâre running into battle? Thatâs likely!â She roared in return, sheâd never send the boys to him while he was at war just so she could go off with someone else. She didnât even like that Phobos & Deimos wanted to tag along with him, although she knew it was their natures. âYes, but you took him there just to introduce her!â She shot back, that was the problem. Why did their children need to meet his conquests at all?Â
She glared at him stubbornly, daring him to fight her. But they were interrupted by Harmonia, getting in between them like a referee. She rolled her eyes at Aresâ explanation. âI didnât ask you to leave,â she replied, folding her arms over her chest again. âHeâs the one who left this morning without saying goodbye,â she sniffed, sticking her nose in the air indignantly. @nowhesterâ
Any trace of amusement faded as something in her gut twisted a little. Harmonia hated fighting - she had always hated it, and it was no different when it was her parents. Her gaze flickered between them uneasily before she moved to take her fatherâs hands. If he left, then it would take much longer for the fight to be resolved, and she didnât want to see it drag on any longer than necessary. âFather, wait and listen to what Mother has to say. Please? You know how much she loves your company. How much she loves you.â Her gaze lifted to meet her fatherâs for a moment before she half-turned to face her mother.
âI know how upsetting that must have been for you, Mother, but you know it doesnât do any good when you start screaming at Father. He shouldnât have left without saying goodbye, itâs true, but you shouldnât let your frustration take vent this way.â Mediating with mortals was far easier than trying to aid her parents; with mortals, she was almost always able to persuade them to resolve their dispute peacefully. This was much harder.
As soon as Aphrodite sent Pothos away, Ares knew he was in for it. He braced himself, figuring that it might better to let her just have this one, but the moment she started yelling at him, that all went out the window. His jaw tightened and he stared at her with shocked eyes. âDonât be a hypocrite! How many times have you brought our boys along to meet your blundering fools of lovers?âÂ
Furious at the fact that she seemed to be able to do whatever she pleased while he had to suffer the consequences of doing the same, Ares took a step toward her as well. His voice raised when he spoke again, âPothos is just fine in my care, as are all our children. No more harm comes to him from meeting a mortal companion of mine than would come to him from meeting one of yours.â His eyes flared at her incredulousness. âDonât pretend this is about Pothos. Admit youâre jealous that I left your bed this morning. Youâre perfectly content to scold me for leaving you, but what about me? I tried to come to you for days and you were off with some - some - it doesnât even matter! Itâs as if you expect me to wait on your doorstep and shower you with gifts for taking other lovers.â @auroraminettââ @nowhesterâ
âThatâs completely different!â She folded her arms over her chest defiantly. âThe boys come with me everywhere, what would you have me do, leave them on their own? Whereas you purposely took him there when you could have gone alone.â Aphrodite pointed out. She didnât mention that she was careful not to let them see anything she did with her lovers, since she wouldnât accuse Ares of that indecency, either.
âWhat if he gets attached to her, and then she dies? Theyâre too young to understand how impermanent mortals are. I never let them meet the mortal ones!â She argued. Aphrodite didnât take mortal lovers as frequently as Ares did, and she had never had a mortal child. She couldnât imagine the pain of watching one of her children grow old, wither and die.
Her lip jutted out when he called her on her jealousy, clenching her fists. She huffed, then turned it on him. âIs that what this is about? Payback because I dared to have a life of my own while you were off playing war? Iâve told you before, Iâm not going to sit around, waiting for you to return when you go off on your own! Iâm sorry I wasnât here when you wanted me but I donât exist to service your whims.â She didnât sound apologetic at all, glaring at him while she spoke.
@nowhesterâ
Where her parents could be found, Harmonia was not often far behind. Though she spent most of her time with her mother, she adored her father and could be seen with him nearly as much as with Aphrodite. And so she found herself at the palace, wandering the halls with little purpose - until she met Pothos in the kitchens, eagerly eating a sweet of some kind and quite content to explain to his sister what had driven him there. And even without his explanation, Harmonia would have felt the shifting mood of the palace. Pressing a kiss to her brotherâs head, Harmonia swept off to find her parents, moving quickly but without the appearance of haste.
If it werenât so serious, she could have laughed at the image of her parents facing off against each other, Aphroditeâs hands clenched in anger. Harmonia had witnessed enough of their fights that she knew they usually stemmed from jealousy rather than true rage, but she never took a quarrel lightly. Stepping between them, she held a hand out toward both of her parents. âMother, Father, whatâs going on? Pothos is worried. As am I.â
