Hitting kids is so fucking traumatic! that shit is so toxic & the majority of “parents” who do it are angry at themselves or about the past…it’s wild. I can’t wait for the day when physically harming your child for any reason is not only illegal but socially unforgivable.Black children deserve better than the way we as a society treat them now.

There’s a great meme, it boiled down to asking what the difference is between “my husband hit me for not cleaning the house” and “my mom hit me for not cleaning my room”. Both situations are a physically more powerful person exerting their will on a physically weaker person via force.

The black community, in my opinion, has to fundamentally reconsider its concepts of childcare. Black children are magic, they are talented, beautiful, they are the future of America. We must cultivate self-confident, inquisitive, children who are not afraid of making a mistake.

Hitting kids is cruel, full stop.
