Telling Gangle that she’s human, “not his toy” when all their bodies serve as is a way to defy that. Back when they truly believed that there was something, some way that they could leave and get back to that life, when all along they were out there. Just not in the way they thought.

And like anything else, it takes time to learn to come to terms with. “Complex thoughts” being the tip of the iceberg for the two of them. Coming to terms with the fact that you’ve left part of yourself somewhere to suffer endlessly, while the rest of you gets to live and never know about it? That cannot be easy. Worse when they have to play the role of God to get Jax to safety. (Which is something I’m probably still processing, but I’m so happy they gave Gangle the opportunity to process onscreen especially!!)
