Someone has gone out hunting, and hasnāt returned.
Tested out some different colouring methods on this one. Still not what I want, so not happy. Enjoyed making the lineart, however.
DAILY DRAW DAY 04: ECLIPSE GAZER
Still not daily. Give it time.
Made this while testing some modifications to some CSP brushes today. Iām trying to preserve the grainy look in everything that I make, which can be difficult when making new brushes. Iāve been working on a short comic in the background to practice my panelling also, so Iād expect to see that posted soon.

DAILY DRAW DAY 03: THE LAMB
Not daily at all, but whatever. Happy New year.
2025 has been the biggest year of my life, so far as significant changes go. I find myself in a different place surrounded entirely by different people. Life is a lot less simple than it used to be from just a year ago, but itās quiet moments like this when I realise just how simple everything still is.

DAILY DRAW DAY 02: A PORTRAIT OF A WITCH
Drew something more simple while I work on some larger illustrations. I liked the idea of a reclusive forest witch being very happy to have their portrait done by some wandering stranger.
Today is the one year anniversary of this tumblr accountās creation as well. Itsā birthday, if you prefer.
DAILY DRAW 01: BLUDGEON
Going to start posting some daily sketches for practice purposes.
Wanted to get some raw energy and motion going with a fight scene reaching itās blunt conclusion, but I donāt think it comes across well. Took too long to draw as well, so I need to learn to really pick up my pace.

Sheās a character that doesnāt yet exist.
Still experimenting with colouring methods before I start this graphic novel that Iāve mentioned a couple of times now. Iām conscious that if Iām doing regular releases then whatever I draw needs a fast turnover, and while Iām confident in my lineart, colouring still remains time consuming. I prefer softer pallets with low contrast, but Iāve been running into issues of readability because of that. Still puzzling through it at the moment, but enough attempts and Iāll land on something Iām satisfied with.

TABULA RASA
Hello. It's been a while. Some updates for anyone curious of where I've been the past many months:
- New job in an opticians. It's pleasant enough, but very busy.
- I'm no longer taking commissions. Everything you see from here on out is going to be personal pieces, some with longer term goals in mind.
- Iād like to release the first chapter of a graphic novel sometime in the next few months.
Some other things have happened also, but I could certainly have still been drawing and posting the past few months. I just haven't. Excuses flow freely, don't they.
I'm going to make an effort to post more often. Thanks.
THE EMERALD PARIAH
A few months back I entered the monthly VGen challenge\contest for the āPARADEā theme, and again I have returned with another challenge prompt piece, this time for the theme: EMERALD.
Iāve noticed that I seem to drift toward drawing off-putting figures and weirdos in challenges like this. Someone seems to have lost an arm. Experimented a little with my usual process this time too, so hopefully it turned out nicely.

Was commissioned to illustrate this emotional scene from Oathbringer for a client a while back. Theyāve decided to not respond to any of my messages, so I donāt think Iām ever getting paid for it.

Iām fond of it, so I hope some of you out there can derive some happiness from it where my client apparently couldnāt.
Half a timelapse from last nightās post where I drew a human version of my cat, Choco, with some alt/uncolored versions for whoever might enjoy.
I need to remember to manually start the timelapse each time I start a new file too, so if one of my timelapses starts halfway feel free to mock me. I appreciate all the support on my last post, so thank you for that also.

Something a little different today, a human character design of my girlfriendās cat, Choco.
Heās a strange little gremlin in the way that cats often are; a bug-eyed, nippy little thing. In cat years heās apparently 21, so I wanted a youthful yet rough-around-the-edges looking design that captures his almost feral energy. If you all really like this, Iāll probably draw him in some more dynamic poses. Either way I have half of this pieceās time-lapse (I forgot) and some other Choco related material to post tomorrow, so ho-hum.
Right now heās sleeping on a blanket next to me. I wonder if he ever dreams of being human, or what that might mean to him. Either way, we love him very much, even when heās being a goblin.
