AsSalaamu Walaikum :) a common question i see floating around is how to care for natural hair while wearing hijab, I’ve been trying to make this post for a while and Alhamdulilah i finally got around to it. I hope this can help y'all out a little bit  and if you have any more questions feel free to hit me up! 

Disclaimer: these are things that have worked for me and other sisters i know, This may not work for all of you guys.i don’t have all the answers but i will try to come back to this post and edit inshaAllah :)

Transitioning Naturals 

NO over working your hair, your is fragile at this time and if you overly manage it will lead to breakage. i Transitioned back in 2011 so i don’t remember but so here are some tips and here

Use a Silk underscarf to protect your ends and edges

(btw i don't really believe in “wash and go’s” for hijabis because i think just leaving your hair can cause damage if you just leave it, and your hair is breathing less than it usually does under your hijab. if you’re going to do it try and reduce it to every once and a while.)

Two Strand twists 

Flat twists

Box braids

Cornrows (if you can find a way to hide the bumps)

Bantu Knots (if you take them out )

Buns (braid or flat twist down your edges so it doesn’t pull on them)

i know some sisters to just comb their hair back and put a cap on it, i wouldn’t do that all the time but make sure your hair is moisturized when doing so and don’t make it a habit.

Remember to always wear a silk scarf under your hijab/undercap and if you can sleep on a silk pillow case.
