MAY: JIN EXPOSING HIMSELF

After a Run BTS episode, Vlive will as always share photos of the boys. But because Jin was screaming, Vlive hid his face as to protect his image. 

Jin went to Twitter and exposed himself. He shared the photo that Vlive hid. Some hours later he even shared an edit. And everyone started using this photo in edits and photo profiles.

DECEMBER: THE JIN CULT

After Jin said that a certain photo with him in glasses is what he wants for his bday photo to be. The cult said YES! EVERY account changed their photo to Jin’s photo and edits and memes kept coming. 

To make it better the Ruler of the cult, Jin himself changed their official twitter account layout to that photo and even the company printed them for his Vlive. There was even a photo on his Bday cake (talk about extra). Fandoms and everyone was literally scared. 

BTS’s album “Love Yourself: Tear” has been nominated for a Grammy Award! On December 7, the list of nominees for the 2019 Grammy Awards was announced. BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” has been nominated in the Best Recording Package category, which is given to an album’s art director as recognition of the visual look of the album. The art director of BTS’s May 2018 album “Love Yourself: Tear” is HuskyFox. Fellow nominees are the art directors for Mitski’s “Be the Cowboy,” St. Vincent’s “Masseduction,” The Chairman’s “The Offering,” and Foxhole’s “Well Kept Thing.” The 2019 Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with the show airing on February 10 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

BTS will be awarded a special honor from the Korean government! In August, it was announced that BTS is one of the 12 nominees for an Order of Cultural Merit this year. On October 8, the recipients were determined at a cabinet meeting. Blue House spokesperson Kim Ui Gyeom revealed, “It was decided that the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit will be presented to the seven members of BTS who have further spread hallyu (Korean wave) and contributed to the development of popular culture and arts.” Prime Minister Lee Nak Yeon commented, “With many of the youth in foreign countries collectively singing lyrics in our language, not only have they spread hallyu, but they are also contributing to the spread of the Korean language.” BTS is the first idol group to receive an Order of Cultural Merit, and the members are also the youngest ever recipients.
