THEN TOLD ME IT WAS WELL WRITTEN!! Gave me pointers on a few things related to simple stuff like scenery and building suspense. Brother I'm so dumbfounded now.

But I'm always kinda just looking at fandoms from the outside looking in and there is always so much drama and fighting about characters, headcannons, ships GOOD LORD SHIPS, many ect.

I will never understand people that just LOOSE THEIR SHIT over ships they disagree with and even give death threats over fictional characters to a real person that just drew/wrote/raved about something they enjoyed.

(underaged characters shipped with adults or drawn lewd is a big nono because that's more of a moral ground)

I digress, I don't enjoy many ships due to just not being comfortable but they aren't inherently disgusting. I don't agree with some just because I don't personally care or like it.

You know what I do? I don't threaten people because I'm uncomfortable or find it gross. I ignore that content and scroll past it. Even block some tags if I feel the need.

I came from Deviantart way back when there was A BOAT LOAD OF GROSS STUFF I DIDNT LIKE! So instead of idk threatening people I just blocked creators I didn't want to interact with or see content from cause it made my skin crawl. They mind their business you mind yours.

Goodness I was actually in the Voltron:LD fandom sorry for the war flash backs if you reading this and was apart of it. Duuuuuuude you didn't ship Klance I swear you were on someone's hit list. I like Klance as much as the next, but I low-key got a sour taste in my mouth about it at one point. I'm a multi shipper, I do self inserts cause I'm cringe but I'm free. But no one should fear for their actual life or mental state over fictional characters, that messed up. I never posted my doodles I did for fear I'd have my head on a pike. (Was literally a self insert or different ship)

I can't wrap my head around people that act like that. Rude, hateful, downright cruel.

It's the internet and an absolute Clusterfuck of tuns of things mashed together. You can't escape everything but the more you interact with said content you hate the more it'll show up on your feed. If you have a friend that's likes something you don't just kindly ask them to not show you or talk about it to you. If they can't accept that maybe the problem is them not caring for your boundaries.

I understand having a strong connection to characters. Truly I do I have personal connections to so many characters I adore with all my heart and I see them a certain way, ship them with certain characters, draw them a specific way I see fit. But I will never diminish another human beings view of what they love or believe even if I don't care for it.

Moral of it all, the world doesn't abide by your terms, nor does it revolve around you. It's needless drama.

But what you can do is curate your feed to your liking without hurting anyone in the process.

This is not an attack by any means, just giving a neutral thought process and making sure those around me know they're ok if it's something they're anxious about.
