Pizza Dough
For this recipe I used a recipe that I found on Pinterest but I wrote it down on paper and lost the link. If I find it I will credit the original owner.
100g active and bubbly starter
500g flour
350g water
10g salt
30g olive oil
you may add a dash of baking powder if you like
any sauces and toppings you want to add
combine starter, water and flour until absorbed -rest covered 30 minutes
add salt and olive oil - stretch and fold it in - rest 30 covered minutes
stretch and fold - rest 30 minutes
stretch and fold - rest 30 minutes
Shaping
lay dough on lightly floured surface - cut into 4 even pieces
stretch and fold into tight balls - place in air tight container (I literally use plastic Tupperware)
rest overnight( 8-10 hours)
Make pizza
for this part i did a couple of things that are hard for me to explain but I'll try my best.
On a floured surface I took one ball of dough and I squished it flat so it was a circle. Then, I gently pressed down and out around the dough to get a large circle until it was the right size and shape for me. (Use your gut on this one.)
The original recipe says to preheat the oven to 550° and bake for 5-6 minutes after toppings are added. If your oven is not able to handle it (mine was barely able) I'm going to see how long it takes to cook at 350° today or tomorrow when the dough is ready.
