history teaches us that all successful social justice movements have fought for the immediate realization of their demands. in fact, it is precisely this impatience that has been essential to their success. not everyone will come with us. and it's not because they can't understand. rather they choose not to. we will not wait for those who seek to oppress us to agree with us. we need not come to an understanding. radical impatience animates revolutionary potential. radical impatience arises from radical hope. it is the living and breathing answer to the question, "what would freedom look like?" it is the embodied here and now to the question, "what would freedom feel like?" radical impatience sets a trajectory that answers the question, "where will freedom take us?"
