I’m fifty-four years old and work as a senior resident at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. I used to be a police officer in my early 20’s, it was short lived but I learned a lot on the job. If my co-workers see this, feel free to follow, or don’t.
I take my current job extremely seriously, so pardon me if I don’t respond to you if you suddenly decide you wanna be buddies. I’ll talk on my own accord.

Undiagnosed autistic: He likely doesn’t know the fact that he has it, he’s becoming adapted to most overwhelming environments except for the ER, which puts a lot of pressure over him. This means he’s been really good at masking in social environments in an attempt to appease to the people around him.
He’s generally observant and aloof when it comes to being at work, and it’s not that he doesn’t wanna talk to others but he likes focusing on his job so he doesn’t miss anything.
His entire character is based MAJORLY on the Turkey Vulture, especially considering his expertise and his personality as a whole. His entire job is him battling between life or death with patients, sometimes saving them from necrotic injuries.
Vultures are also very protective of their “flock”, which means that Malakai is very firm on making sure both his patients and staff get the care they deserve. He’s very respectful of his staff, specifically nurses, as they are the backbone.
