This is actually insane. Heaps of influencers use twitter to promote their accounts on other (profitable) platforms like Youtube and Instagram. Threatening the streamers, TikTokers, and Instagram models with a ban for promoting their other work is just a bad move. I know the policy says the accounts need to be solely for the promotion of other media, but this is horribly vague and given how mercurial Twitter has been with content moderation lately it would not surprise me if the most online people in the world, who also drive a good chunk of Twitter viewership, jump ship or get banned soon.
completely, totally fucked, and there's no absolutely no reason to think this wont just escalate further on some rich baby's whim.
