He felt awful for taking the memories away from her without consent, but what would it do to Vivi’s spirit if he hadn’t? Vivi loved the adventures, the mysteries, the legends. Would it take her love for all those things away if she could recount the events? That love was more important than Lewis.

It was illuminated so beautifully and held that same air of creepiness from before. She loved it. It was perfect. Just the kind of place she enjoyed exploring and investigating. Vivi stared in awe of it as she entered the clearing and made her way to the front gate. 

She could see somebody standing at the front door. As she drew closer to the steps leading up to the porch she realized it was the suited ghost from before. Feelings welled up in Vivi that she couldn't quite place. It was like the fog in her mind was clearing but she just still couldn't see past it yet. 

He wiped her memory to help her move on from him — but he couldn’t move on from her. He wanted to go back. Go back to all those drive-in and fair dates. Those trips to the bookstore that started in the non-fiction unexplained section and ended at an abandoned house nearly thirty minutes away.

Vivi was unsure about her feelings towards the strange ghosts that had chased them. Especially the one in the suit.  But she did know there was something about him that drew her attention. An odd sense of deja vu or a feeling like she'd knew something about him and just didn't remember it clearly at all. 

Maybe if she could find it again, she could clear the fog in her mind. Whatever it was she'd forgotten, it felt important. Important enough to go against Arthur's fearful warnings. Vivi knew he meant well, but she just couldn't help herself.
