Hi! Iirc, from at least what I've read from the letters, Artyom said that he never had big arguments with Nikita. But honestly, I also don't think they had a perfect friendship, when your friendship is that long you can't avoid arguments and conflicts, I think they're inevitable in human nature. Some of the Dismembered Pugachova song titles come off as Nikita being snarky towards Tyoma, for example "Everyone who gets more than a C in school should be fucked and hanged" and "Those who like to read — are fucking faggots" :D probably sarcastic and not serious, but still. Plus, Marina, Nikita's mother said this thing about relationship between boys:

"I tried talking to Nikita, trying to convince him to appreciate the friendship he still had with Artyom. Although they communicated strangely — they were always, how should I say it, making fools of themselves, arranging some kind of ridiculous theater."

I think they for sure got into arguments, maybe not big ones, but still, considering how Marina says to appreciate it, probably due to concerns about it ending? We'll never know how their friendship was really like, but it's still interesting to think about

Hello! This topic may seem confusing because we don't actually have 100% debunking or proof that this happened. So take that with a grain of salt

A former prisoner, who was in one jail with Lytkin left a youtube comment mentioning one particular person (an authoritarian figure) who, allegedly, raped Nikita. You can read the original comment in this post.

The "Roosters" mentioned in the comment (which Nikita allegedly attacked) are men in russian prisons who engaged in homosexual acts as the receiving side. Consensual or not.

In a short interview with a TV reporter ex-prisoner who was in the same prison as Nikita, stated that Nikita's position in prison was extremely low and he belonged to the caste of the "offended" (обиженные), which is a synonym for "roosters", that heavily implies abuse. He also mentioned that Nikita did dirty job as washing other prisoners underwear and socks. And that even within people of the caste, Nikita was ignored and alone all the time. Just my thoughts now:

The infamous quote of Artyom in which he says that Nikita wouldn't survive in jail without him and that he's sure that "something will be done to him", I think, refers to the physical and sexual abuse. Nikitas passive personality and the violent nature of his crimes for sure make a great combo to be pressured in jail by people who have more power and authority in such isolated space as jail.

Personally, I can believe in that. As Artyom admitted that he suffered from physical assault while being in detention center, only God knows what also could he happening there.
