Hey, are you taking requests right now? Love you! 💜💜
why, yes, yes, I am. Just send them in if you have any and I’ll get around to writing them as soon as I can (or have the inspiration, which then would mean it depends on luck!).

Rest your love.
This was supposed to be a short drabble and it’s a little bit longer than what I had intended! Thank you for requesting this and I hope you can excuse the abrupt ending? Enjoy!
request: That's fantastic thank you! My request is for melendez x Shaun Murphy. Its their first time in any kind of intimate (non sexual) situation. And Shaun is his awkward no questions anti touching self. And they just kind of make it work? @authoroftheyear01
words: 750 words
Shaun is at a loss of words, clasping his hands together warily. He does not quite know what to say to him - which is a surprise because Shaun always has something he wants to talk with Neil about; whether it be how his day had been or some random facts of the day - and in hindsight, Shaun probably did not think this far ahead. All he knows is that he had this burning feeling of needing to see him.
So that is exactly what Shaun did.
It is about twenty minutes past midnight when there is a knock on his apartment door and Neil frowns as he stares at the door. He switches off the television, padding over to the door. He doesn’t remember making any promises to meet up with anyone tonight.
On the other side of the door, Shaun rubs his palms nervously against his pants, contemplating if he should knock the door once more. He isn’t too sure if Neil is awake or not - he knows Neil has had a longer day than he did but Shaun really could not help his impulsiveness. He really wanted - no, needed - to see him. Just as he steadily lifts his hands to knock on the door again, the door opens wide, revealing Neil, still in his office attire.
“Shaun,” Neil raises one of his eyebrows as he stares at the man standing in front of his door. Shaun clasps his hands together once more and Neil furrows his eyebrows, looking over his shoulder to stare at the clock. He turns to face Shaun once more. “What are you doing here? Are you alright? Come inside.”
Neil has known Shaun to do something rather impulsive but this is the first time Shaun has actually come to his apartment and he is pleasantly surprised and slightly concerned because Shaun is a man of routine and something must have happened for him to suddenly appear in front of his door.
It doesn’t escape Neil that Shaun looks flushed and sweaty too. He wonders briefly if Shaun actually walked all the way to his apartment from his own and it worries him and makes him feel touched at the same time. Neil closes the door behind him and makes sure he locks it before heading over to where Shaun is standing, in the middle of his living room, looking at everything but him.
“Sit, please.” Neil order and it takes Shaun a minute or two before he nods his head, slowly moving over to the sofa and sits down. He places both of his hands on his lap, still looking everywhere but at Neil. So Neil quickly heads to his bedroom to grab a small towel and heads to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. “Here you go.” Neil hands the things over to Shaun and as usual, it takes Shaun a few seconds to take the things from Neil, muttering his thank you.
“Will you tell me now why you are here or am I going to be left pondering about it the entire time?” Neil asks, knowing full well that Shaun is most likely not going to answer him. Shaun glances at Neil as he wipes his face with the towel. The two of them are quiet for a while - Shaun’s mind going a mile a minute and Neil just staring at the man in front of him.
“I wanted to see you.” Shaun finally answers Neil after a while, causing the latter to be surprised. Neil chuckles under his breath, shaking his head before he takes a seat beside Shaun, thighs almost touching but there is still a little bit of space since he knows how Shaun doesn’t quite like being touched. “I went to the hospital and walked from there.” He informs Neil.
Neil withholds the sigh. “Next time you want to see me, text me, Shaun.” Neil tells him as softly as he can and Shaun nods his head twice. “I will pick you up next time so you don’t have to walk to the hospital and walk all the way here.”
Shaun glances at Neil once more, happiness bubbling in him at what Neil just said. So he nods his head once more before slowly scooting close to Neil and Neil has to hold back the smile on his face. Shaun’s thigh is touching his and judging by the small smile playing on his face, Neil knows that this is a huge step for Shaun too.
Lay with me.
I have had this idea ever since I started watching The Good Doctor and I am finally acting on it. I kinda like the idea of this but unfortunately, it’s very short. Nevertheless, hope you can enjoy this!
words: 356 words.
“Y/N, this feels really nice.” Shaun mutters, staring at you with an expression that rarely ever appears on his face
“Y/N, I like this.” Shaun mutters, breaking your train of thoughts. You hum in response. “This feels really nice.” He continues as he stares up at the sky through the roof window which is punctuated by a multitude of stars.
Shaun has his head in your lap while you take turns between petting his hair and running your fingers gently through his hair. He folds his hands across the top of his stomach. You look down and a small smile appears on your face at the subtle questioning look Shaun is shooting you.
“Don’t worry about it, Shaun.” You stop playing with his hair to push his bangs to the side, leaning down to press a kiss on his forehead. “I was thinking about Steve earlier.” You tell him and Shaun nods his head. “He would have loved this view.” You look away from Shaun to stare at the view in front you - this was partly the reason why you bought the loft.
Shaun says nothing but he glances around the room, nodding his head slightly. “Yeah, he would.” Shaun reaches in to his pocket to take out the handkerchief where he held the plastic Scalpel. He grips the scalpel and continues to look at the stars.
“I am happy.” Shaun speaks up once again making you smile as you look down at your twin.
You gently poke Shaun’s nose, chuckling slightly at the disgruntled look Shaun sent you. “I am happy too, Shaun, being here with you.” Tenderly, you place a kiss atop his head and start caressing his hair again.
“Thank you.” Shaun takes his time with reaching your free hand. He holds on to it, like how he is holding on to the scalpel - tightly. “Y/N makes me happy too.” Shaun murmurs and as he fought off the desire to fall asleep, Shaun tightens the hold he has on your hand slightly, before slowly dozing off to the sound of your soft humming, caresses and the feeling of being safe and sound.
Hold me, please.
Thank you for sending in this request! I tried to write it the best way I could but unfortunately, it’s a tad bit short?
request: Shaun x reader where the reader has anxiety and 1time she’s with Shaun and has a panic attack and he doesn’t know what to do, but she managed to tell him as she’s panicking to hold her or something and he’s nervous and freaking out but awkwardly wraps his arms around her?? And then she has another attack next time but he knows how to handle it and (still awkwardly but less) hugs her and reassured her? smth like that? Oddly specific and such a run-on sentence HAHAHA but I hope u can write this!!!
words: 853 words
You usually have at least a semblance of discipline with yourself but unfortunately for you, that semblance crumbled unexpectedly today and things take a wrong turn after the whole debacle with Dr. Andrews and Dr. Melendez. Your feet were quick to carry you away from the scene and you immediately went into the first room that you thought was unoccupied but to your surprise, Shaun is sitting by the table, quietly reading going through his books.
“Y/N!” Shaun greets you and the smile on his face dies upon seeing your state. You slid down the wall and pull your legs towards your chest. Your breathing is starting to quicken again and the small amount of colour you had earlier started to disappear. You know deep inside that you are about to have another panic attack and that causes your chest to tighten and your vision to become blurry.
“S-Shaun,” You gasp when Shaun crouches beside you. You can’t really see his face clearly but Shaun looks distressed. His fingers twitch as he tries to contemplate what he should do - he has never had any friends of his experiencing a panic attack and normally he would rely on the information that he has in his mind but somehow, seeing you in this state is causing his brain to short-circuit.
“Y/N, you need help.” Shaun is about to stand up when you grab on to the end of his coat, shaking your head amidst your struggle. He pauses to stare at your hand. “I can call Claire!”
You shake your head once more. “I - I just need to hold something for a bit.” You gasp in between words and furrow your eyebrows as you feel your chest tighten with some more pain. Shaun makes a split decision to sit down beside you.
Despite what you have said, Shaun doesn’t think that your panic attack is stopping at all and he racks his brain, trying to find a solution to your problem. He recalls briefly a conversation he shared with Claire two days ago about why people liked hugs. His hands tremble slightly and his fingers twitch as he contemplates on his actions.
You breathed in through your nose and out through your mouth, trying desperately to remain as calm as you possibly can - although at the moment, it seems futile. You reminded yourself firmly that you really need to be calm in hopes of staving off another panic attack. You know the moment you start thinking about how humiliating it had been earlier, fear would take over - your heart starts to race again, breath quickening and it is a matter of time before everything goes downhill.
“Y/N, I am going to hold you.” Shaun tells you but it might have fallen on deaf ears so Shaun moves his arms to wrap around you but because he rarely ever made the first move to hug anyone - given his circumstances - he manages to wrap his arms around you in a rather awkward way. Shaun stares at the top of your head. “Look at me.”
You move your hand from the edge of his coat to grab the front of his coat and when you didn’t respond to his words, Shaun repeated his sentence a tad bit forcefully. “Y/N, look at me.” You pop your eyes up to his face and Shaun tries his hardest to hold your gaze for a little while before looking away, prattling off instructions. “Take a couple of deep breaths with me.” You nod your head, following Shaun’s lead - inhaling for four counts and exhaling for four more. Within minutes, your shoulders drop, the pain in your chest lessens and your cheeks began pinking up.
Shaun slowly drops his arms from around you, clasping his hands together, rubbing them in a manner that brought comfort to him. The two of you are quiet for a while as you try to even your breathing.
“Thank you, Shaun.” You close your eyes and kept on taking deep breaths like what you had done before with Shaun. “My anxiety isn’t rational at times but really, what anxiety is…” You trail off and open your eyes to glance at Shaun. He is looking at the front but there is a hint of smile on his face and he nods his head at your words.
“Shaun, can I put my arms around you for a bit?” You murmur and at first, you thought Shaun hadn’t hear you but when he turns his body towards you and lowering his arms to his sides, you gingerly wrap your arms around him. Shaun reluctantly places his hands on your sides, holding you as you hug him.
The two of you stayed like that for a minute or two before you pulled back, feeling really calm now. “Being in your arms helped.” You drop your arms from around him and Shaun nods his head, taking note of what you had just said. Until then, Shaun is going to make sure to keep an eye on you just in case you happen to have your panic attacks.
I see fire.
I do have to admit that this is my first time attempting to write a non-binary reader imagine and I hope I do this justice?? If I didn’t, please do tell me so I can improve myself. That aside, I wasn’t quite sure what you wanted me to write so I just wrote whatever came to mind!
request: Shaun x non-binary! Reader please :)))))

The day has been long and taxing and all you want to do right now is just get under your covers and warm up. Today has got to be the coldest day you have ever experienced up to date and you almost can’t feel your nose at all. You try wriggling your nose a few times as if to make sure it hadn’t fallen off.
But unfortunately for you, you still have one more stop left before you can even think of the warmth your bed can offer. Just as you are about to reach your building, you made a quick stop to the local bakery, getting coffee and some delicacies you know Shaun would like and head home.
To your surprise, when you reach your apartment building, Shaun is standing there, holding on to his bag, looking at everything and nothing in particular. A smile appears on your face and you jog over to him. “Shaun!”
Shaun peeks at you. “Hello, Y/N.”
Now that you are right in front of him, you can see that the tip of his ears are red, his cheeks look slightly flushed and he looks cold. You furrow your eyebrows. “How long have you been waiting here for, Shaun? Let’s get you warm inside.” You mutter, concern lacing your words. You took out your keys and unlock the front door, ushering Shaun inside. The two of you quickly climb up the stairs and head towards your apartment room.
The moment you are inside your apartment, you place your coffee and the bag of goods on the counter before turning back to face Shaun. No matter how many times he has been in your apartment, he always has this look on his face as if it was his first time.
You step closer to Shaun before looking at him all the while reaching for his bag. He hesitates for a bit and hands the bag to you. You give him a small smile and place his bag on your sofa. “May I?” You reach toward his hands and Shaun relaxes his fingers and slowly reaches your outstretched hands. “Your hands are really cold, Shaun - I am so sorry for getting here late!” You gently rub his fingers, trying to get some warmth on to his icy fingertips.
Shaun makes a noise at the back of his neck, looking at the top of your head. “My body temperature is still fine.” He says a matter of factly while staring blatantly at what you are doing. It makes him feel something inside and Shaun doesn’t exactly know what it is except for the fact that it feels nice watching you try to warm him up. “When submerged in cold water, the chances of my survival would most likely be a few percent before my body goes into shock.”
This causes you to chuckle and you look up from Shaun’s fingers, holding them instead now. “Well, I am glad you are nowhere near cold water then.” You bring one of his hands to your lips, lightly kiss his hand. Shaun smiles awkwardly and averts his eyes to the counter. You follow his gaze and you inhale sharply, dropping his hands from your hold. “I almost forgot about them! I got you some baked goods from the bakery down the street.” You pad over to the counter but just as you are about to grab the bag, Shaun speaks up.
“I want to eat green apple.” He pipes up and you look at him over your shoulder. Shaun is looking intently at your fridge. “Y/N, I want to eat green apples.” Shaun moves to your fridge and you nod your head, letting him do as he please because you only bought those green apples due to Shaun liking them a lot.
“Just make sure to bring these back with you or you can share it with your friends at the hospital tomorrow.” You inform him and reached for his bag. You made sure to place the bag of baked goods nicely in his bag pack before heading to the kitchen to join Shaun as he starts telling you what he had done late last night and earlier that morning.
“We saved a life today…”

you & me
I think I went a little over board with this. I need to put a little disclaimer here: I have no medical knowledge at all and the earlier bit of this imagine were mostly taken from the Korean version of The Good Doctor (though I cannot seem to remember from which episode this was!). It honestly was supposed to be something short but my fingers went wild over the keyboard.
As I have mentioned previously, I am still trying to get the hang of writing the characters from The Good Doctor (more specifically Shaun) so bear with me. Although you can help me by sending in your requests!
word count: 1702 words.
You catch yourself in the middle of a yawn and cover your mouth with your hand. Shaun glances at you and looks back at the countless of books he has spread out on the table. All of the reading and sitting in one place are really starting to wear you out but you definitely did not want to leave Shaun all alone with his readings.
You are about to doze off when Shaun’s pager went off and yours followed soon. You grab your pager and blink away the sleep as you read the message before standing up. Shaun copies your movements and immediately the two of you rush to the ER.
“Dr. Murphy, Dr. Y/N!” One of the graveyard shift nurses call out and you rush to her. “She was brought here with intussusception diagnosis - we called for Dr. Melendez but he is currently unreachable and Dr. Brown and Dr. Kalu are currently operating another patient.” She explains as everyone follows after the paramedics who are pushing the bed.
Shaun takes the file from the nurse and quickly reads through the file as he follows after quickly. “She has had stomach pains and Hematochezia for about ten hours now.” He glances at the little girl on the gurney. “She is dehydrated.”
You frown upon hearing Shaun’s explanation. You grab on to her wrist to feel her pulse before pulling your stethoscope to listen to the little girl’s breathing. “Her breathing is really unstable.” You catch the girl’s parents’ eyes and the frown on your face deepens. “Dr. Murphy,” You call out to Shaun.
Shaun pauses abruptly before turning to look in your general direction. “If respiratory aspiration occurred while vomiting, she might have aspiration pneumonia.” He nods his head firmly before handing the file back to the nurse. “She needs surgery - there is a high chance if she has cardiac arrest, she will not survive.”
“You heard Dr. Murphy!” You exclaim. “Arrange an operating room for her!” You order the nurses and they quickly did as told. Before Shaun could walk off after them, you grab on to his sleeve causing him to flinch slightly. Once you notice that you have his attention, you release your hold on his sleeve and Shaun hesitates before resisting the urge to grab on to the sleeve.
“Shaun, I am going to make a quick call to either Dr. Melendez or Dr. Andrews,” You inform him. “Given her condition and the report that we have, how long do you think we have?” You knew you can always count on Shaun when it comes to calculating the possibilities.
“Long enough that we can attempt to save her.” Shaun clasps his hands together and brings it in front of him. You nod your head, racking your brain for anything you can do. “I shall go and prepare for surgery now.” He informs you.
You nod your head. “Get one of the nurses to run a blood test too, stat.” Shaun nods his head once more before walking away. You grab your phone and tried calling Dr. Andrews’ phone. “Dr. Andrews, it’s Dr. Y/N, we have a patient here who is most likely suffering from aspiration pneumonia and is also diagnosed with intussusception.” You nod your head as you listen to Dr. Andrews rattling off in the phone.
Stay with me.
Decided to write this because I was rewatching the latest episode and I felt sad because Neil and Jessica broke up. I am still trying to get a feel of how to write Neil (as well as the rest of the characters) so do be patient with me!
word count: 1407 words.
“Y/N!”
You look up towards the door after hearing your name and you visibly relax when you notice that it was Claire… instead of Neil. You give her a small smile and watches as she approaches you with a concerned expression on her face.
“I got your message; are you alright?” She reaches over to grab your hand.
You know if you try to play it off as being not much, Claire could probably see right through you. Despite only knowing Claire for a few months now, she has become one of your closest friends in the hospital and being residents who works at one of the most prestigious hospital often means that you barely have time for social life, specifically time for you to be making friends.
“He asked me,” You trail off, not sure how to go about the topic. “We had a row last night.” You start and Claire nods her head, leaning closer. “I was talking about how we managed to save that kid’s life and suddenly the conversation spiralled and we went from talking about a patient to talking about having our own kids and he must have seen right through me because we fought after that?” You tremble slightly as you recall the hurt that was evident in his eyes after the fight you had. “We rarely fight but I am so worried - what if he breaks up with me over this?”
Claire pats your hand before putting her arm around your shoulders. “Have you tried talking to him?” She rubs your shoulders soothingly. Claire doesn’t really know the full details of your problem but she likes to think that she knows enough. She knows that you have been together with your boyfriend close to a year and a half now and she knows just how much you love him, even if you have never told her his name.
You shake your head as you bring your hands up to your face, covering your eyes. The headache you have had from all the crying you have done came back full force. “I just don’t know how to, Claire. I am good at talking to people - listening to their problems and finding solutions to their problems. I can do that but when it comes to my own?” You shake your head once more, the headache starting to distract you a lot. Your head grew dizzy and you would have fallen to the ground if Claire had not been holding on to your shoulders and the last thing you hear is Claire calling for the nurses and darkness consumes you.
You open your eyes to the steady beep of a machine, very little light and feeling a little bit confused. But what you do notice is how heavy and warm your hand feels. You tilt your head to your left and to your surprise, Neil is sleeping there and that warm and heavy feeling was him holding on to your hand. This brings tears to your eyes because you definitely did not expect Neil to show up - not after the fight the two of you had last night.
You sniffle quietly, not wanting to disturb Neil’s sleep but he must have been on alert because he bolted awake the moment you try to lightly tug your hand from Neil’s hand. “Y/N!” He says as he sits up straight.
“Hey,” You reply quietly and Neil squeezes your hand briefly before he stands up, quickly looking over your stats. Your eyes follow his every movement and as much as you really wanted to break the tension in the room, you could not bring yourself to do it. You slowly sit up and lean against the headboard.
Neil, on the other hand, busied himself as he tries to compartmentalise his own thoughts. He wants to scold you for not taking good care of yourself but on the other hand, he feels like pulling you closer to him so he can hug you. He settles on his chair instead as he stares at you.
“You had me worried there, Y/N.” Neil starts and you look away from his intense gaze. “You were dehydrated and exhausted.” He points out when he catches sight of you staring at your file and you turn to look at him. Neil lets out a sigh before he grabs on to your hand again, holding it loosely in his. “Y/N, talk to me.”
You couldn’t help it. The moment he said those words and how worried he sounded, the tears fell down your cheeks and Neil holds onto your face, wiping your tears away with his thumbs. “I’m sorry, Neil.” You murmur and Neil continues to stare at you.
“What are you so afraid of, Y/N?” Neil’s question causes the tears to stop and you stare at him, hoping that whatever he is searching in your face, he will find it worthwhile. “Is it because of your parents’ separation?”
You shake your head. “What if I can’t be a good mum? What if I can’t make any of you happy? What if -“
Neil stops you from talking by kissing you and whatever you wanted to say to him died on your lips as you close your eyes to enjoy his kiss. He pulls back a few seconds after that, cupping your cheeks gently. “Y/N, those are a lot of terrible what ifs.” He murmurs and shakes his head when you open your mouth to refute him. “You don’t think I have the same worries? Every night, I lie awake and think about the same things you do - I am as scared as you are, Y/N but I know I can be a good dad and I think you will make a fantastic mum.” Neil expresses and drops his hands from your face. The look you are giving him is tender and full of love and that is a look he knows all too well.
When he heard earlier from Claire that you had fainted, Neil had been worried out of his mind, almost affecting his work but it took everything in him to stay professional until the very end and once his shift ended, he managed to convince Claire to leave you with him - not before throwing him an accusatory look.
The two of you are quiet but the silence isn’t uncomfortable, in fact, you really appreciated the silence because it gave you time to sort out through your fears and your doubts. You reach for Neil’s hand and he immediately laces his fingers with yours. “Okay.”
Neil furrows his eyebrows and looks at you. “Okay?”
You nod your head. “Okay.” You repeat. “We can try.” You murmur softly and when Neil is still looking at you with a puzzled expression, you tighten your hold on his hand. “Maybe we can spend some time at the community centre this week and play with the kids?” You ask him, giving him a hopeful look.
Neil relaxes, chuckling as he presses his lips on your forehead, happiness washing over him. “Of course - baby steps, Y/N. Baby steps.” He tells you and brings your hand up to his mouth to place a kiss to it. “Now, get some rest okay? You can leave tomorrow morning - take the day off tomorrow.” Neil informs you and you nod your head and you watch him as he tucks you into the bed.
“What about you?” You ask him and Neil shrugs his shoulders.
“I think I will stay here.” Neil points at the chair. “It’s not the comfiest but I think I will be fine there.”
You almost want to roll your eyes at his answer but nod your head regardless. “The bed is big enough for the both of us, Neil.”
Neil chuckles. “True but Claire was already giving me looks earlier when I convinced her to leave you alone. She is probably going to be all up on our cases.” He points out as he made himself comfortable on the chair as much as he possibly can. “Just rest, please?”
You slowly nod your head and pull the covers up to your chest. “Are you sure you don’t want to get into bed with me?” Neil shakes his head, chuckling as he stretches his legs. “Love you, Neil.” You murmur as you start to doze off and the last thing you heard before you fell asleep is Neil’s chuckles.
One, two steps.
First post up for this adorable teddy bear! Askbox is open and you are free to send in your requests for any of the characters. I shall try my hardest to write any of them but until then, I hope you enjoy reading this!

The moment Dr. Glassman told Shaun that you have been in an unfortunate accident, Shaun clenches and unclenches his fists as he paces around and his breathing starts to quicken. “No, no.” He murmurs under his breath as his brain moves a mile a minute.
Seeing as Shaun is starting to get extremely overwhelmed, Dr. Glassman calls out his name a few times to get his attention. “Shaun - Shaun, listen to me, Shaun.” He takes a few steps towards Shaun. “Y/N is going to be alright.” He tries to assure Shaun.
“No,” Shaun mutters. “No - no.” He then pauses before staring off in to the distance. Dr. Glassman furrows his eyebrows and just as he is about to walk towards Shaun, Shaun straightens his back and clasps his hands together, rushing off to the ER.
“Shaun!” Dr. Glassman calls out after the young doctor but seeing as Shaun did not even bother to wait for him, Dr. Glassman has no choice but to follow after Shaun.
Upon arriving at the ER, Shaun is greeted by Claire. “There you are, Shaun. Where have you been?” She asks before shaking her head. “Come on, follow me.” Claire tells him and heads toward one of the beds.
“I have to find Y/N.” Shaun stresses and tightens the hold he has on his own fingers. He hesitates a bit before following after Claire. After all, Claire has yet to disappoint him. “I have to find Y/N.” Shaun repeats again and Claire looks over her shoulder, smiling at him.
“I know, Shaun.” Claire assures him and pulls the curtains back. To Shaun’s surprise, you are laying on the bed, sound asleep with stitches on your forehead. He rushes to the bed and grabs on to your file, quickly skimming through the report. “Y/N is fine, Shaun. Had a nasty fall and needed stitches - we were thorough with our tests too.”
Shaun does not reply Claire as he is still reading through the report. He then abandons the report on the table and walks over to the side where you had an injury. He furrows his eyebrows and leans closer, watching you very, very closely before pulling back. “Y/N is okay!”
Claire smiles. “Yes, Shaun. Y/N is okay. When Y/N wakes up, make sure she gets something to eat first before letting her eat the painkillers.” Shaun nods his head curtly and grabs a stool so he can sit beside her. The smile on Claire’s face grows bigger. “You really care for her.”
Shaun nods his head once more, looking briefly at Claire’s general direction before he turns to keep his eyes back on you. “Yes. I like Y/N.” He states as a matter-of-factly. “Y/N is my girlfriend.” He offers.
Claire chuckles under her breath. “I know, Shaun.”
Before Shaun can even reply, you let out a soft whine before shifting slightly on the bed. Shaun hesitantly reaches for your hand and he holds your wrist loosely. You shift a couple of times before you slowly open your eyes.
Claire takes that moment to leave Shaun and you alone. She pulls the curtains close and steps away, spying Dr. Glassman. “Dr. Glassman,” She calls out as she hurriedly heads over to him.
Meanwhile, Shaun leans closer to you. “Your pupils look fine - you are going to be okay!” He points out before he settles back on to his seat.
A smile appears on your face when you spy your boyfriend. “Hi, Shaun.” Your voice is soft, laced with sleep. “I must have worried you a lot earlier. I am sorry.” You let your fingers touch his hand and Shaun tightens the hold he has on your wrist briefly before he pulls his hand away, intertwining his own fingers.
“Yes, I was.” Shaun nods his head and turns to look at you. “You are fine now.”
You nod your head, wincing slightly at the pain. “Next time, I am probably going to use the stairs instead of trying to climb on an unbalanced chair.” You mutter to yourself - you were always so careful but somehow today, somewhere, somehow you went wrong and fell down, scratching your forehead on the way down.
“You should be more careful next time.” Shaun chastises, wringing his hands. You nod your head in agreement.
“Thank you for being here with me, Shaun. It was really nice to wake up to your face.” You tell him earnestly and a smile appears on Shaun’s face as you watch him nod his head happily at your words. “Can I get a kiss?”
Shaun contemplates your offer, tensing up slightly. You simply keep your mouth shut and kept your eyes trained on him. He inches closer slightly before he presses his lips on top of yours and closes his eyes. You smile into the kiss and lift one of your hands to place it lightly on the back of his head so you can angle your lips better.
Shaun pulls away a few seconds later, a flush on his cheeks as he settles back on his stool. A smile is on his face and seeing that smile on his face made your smile wider. You settle against your pillow and just as you are about to ask Shaun when you can leave, he pipes up.
“You need food! I talked to Claire.” Shaun stands up from his seat and glances at you quickly before rushing out of the area and you cannot help but chuckle at his actions. Your otherwise dull life has brighten considerably ever since you met and got to know Shaun and you are definitely not going to ruin what good thing you have with him.
