No. Absolutely fucking no. You know why? It´s common decency to dress for your size, to dress decently and appropriate, to highlight your chocolate sides and hide your flaws. If you think it´s acceptable running around displaying your nastiest parts, when there are multiple of flattering options of dressing for both your size AND the temperature, you deserve all the looks, laughs and ridicule.

It’s not??? No one considers that cultural appropriation??? I mean if you saw a post claiming it was it was by an anti-sj trying to make sj’s look ‘ridiculous’ and ‘over the top’

Clownfish inspired mermaid is an amputee. She lost her arm rescuing her tropical fish friends from nasty nets. Her favourite way to spend the evening is singing her heart out and seducing sailors. She’s gotten really good at doing her hair one handed!

The mermaid with blonde hair has an anxiety disorder. That is her service eel— he supports her and calms her down when she has panic attacks, and he wraps himself around her to make her feel safe and give her space in crowds. She likes to pet him while she talks to people.

Seahorse mermaids are born without arms so they use their tails to pick up/manipulate things. The pink mermaid has arthritis in their tail though, so they use a kind of telekinetic magic to do stuff instead! They has gotten so good at it that their fine motor control is awesome, and other mermaids come from far and wide to have them do their piercings.

i think the Issue with dumbledore being gay is that it wasn’t canonised in the text, which means: a) a crucial and important part of his backstory is glossed over and, b) considering how crucial and important this piece of backstory is, it’s clear that jkr tried her hardest to make sure it wasn’t canonised in the text. because it’s REALLY IMPORTANT AND RELEVANT and was discussed fleetingly, using the broadest possible terms — it’s glaringly obvious that jkr was trying not to make it Too Gay

like, albus’ feelings for grindelwald impacted his life MASSIVELY, and even eighty(???) years later they were still affecting him. dumbledore’s ~mysterious backstory~ IS gellert grindelwald. everything boils down to his relationship with grindelwald, it influenced everything in his life, from his constant refusals to become minister for magic to his choice to never marry/have a relationship with anyone and instead dedicate himself solely to hogwarts and his students. the only reason he knows about the hallows is because of grindelwald, HE WON THE ELDER WAND FROM HIM??? he NEVER trusted himself with power again and it’s all because of his relationship with grindelwald. it was dumbledore’s MAIN CHARACTER MOTIVATION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SERIES

and we got aaall of dumbledore’s backstory in deathly hallows — we got the whole story about his family and his siblings and his dodgy dad and gellert grindelwald. all the gory details, except the fact that albus was in love with gellert. (and are we really supposed to believe that rita skeeter would either miss a scoop like that, or find it out and decide to sit on it?? hell nah) and like??? he says grindelwald’s ideas “inflamed me” and describes the summer they were together as “two months of insanity” that… sounds…….. like he was pretty fucking smitten

plus it really says a lot about dumbledore, like he wasn’t just following his mate for a bit of power, he was IN LOVE and blinded by it. he literally says “did i know, in my heart of hearts, what gellert grindelwald was? i think i did, but i closed my eyes”??? he was completely blinded by love and subsequently never let his personal feelings get in the way of The Goal/Doing The Right Thing ever again (case in point: his fucking awful treatment/manipulation of harry)

but i mean dumbledore’s literally CRYING IN THE AFTERLIFE while talking about gellert grindelwald. he fucked dumbledore up THAT BADLY

and harry obviously picks up on this because he’s like “well grindelwald lied to voldemort and said he’d never had the elder wand, so” and dumbledore’s like “yeah cos he was ashamed of what he’d done and trying to make amends” and harry’s like “nah he was trying to stop him from breaking into your tomb” and dumbledore’s all sniffly and sad about it. we only really get shit from dumbledore’s perspective but….. grindelwald died to protect dumbledore’s tomb……

and it just BLOWS MY MIND that this relationship, which FORMED A PRINCIPLE CHARACTER and is the CORNERSTONE OF HIS BACKSTORY can just be glossed over with typical british stiff-upper-lipness when it’s just as relevant (IF NOT MORE RELEVANT) as the fucking snape and lily fiasco, which was laid on SO THICK in the text and lauded as a ~love story~
